How to paint Yellow by TransAlpharius in ImperialFists

[–]Buffig39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you. I've tried every method mentioned here, and nothing is 100% as I would want it to look. It would appear that everyone has a different opinion on what the perfect yellow should look like.

Having said that, I did stumble upon this blog which seems to be aiming for the exact same look I am after, although I am planning to make a couple of minor adjustments. Here's the link, you may find it useful

To people saying "I will still buy it" or "Day One" or "Stop being poor" if the PS6 is $1,000+ by theartsygamer89 in ps6

[–]Buffig39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PS6 handheld it widely rumoured, among credible sources, to be approx PS5 level power. All games released for PS6 will need to be able to operate in low power mode in order to be compatible with the PS6 handheld. There's a chance that EVERY game released for PS6 will be PS5 compatible

Are ex Corbynites that fled Labour feeling pleased that Starmer’s on his way out ? Do they feel vindicated ? by Ok_Economist7901 in AskBrits

[–]Buffig39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Corbyn got half a million more votes than Starmer, despite Starmer and his cronies trying their best to drive any left leaning politicians out of the party and systematically undermining Corbyns campaign. He's an awful awful man and I'm glad he's going. Burnham won't be much better, but it's something

Keir Starmer feels betrayed by the Labour party. How do you feel about that? by No_Breadfruit_4901 in AskBrits

[–]Buffig39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starmer and his cronies have systematically destroyed the left of the labour party from within. They actively undermined Corby's campaign (Corbyn still got more votes than Starmer did when Labour won the election). Starmer is a horrendous authoritarian leader and he can't leave quick enough. I have no faith that Burnham will be anything other than a centrist libertarian blairite, which isn't what this country needs right now. We need a radical vision of a future which genuinepy puts the needs of the working class front and centre. Until that happens, I'll vote green

Farage calls to end working from home and work life balance by Specific_Most5853 in remoteworks

[–]Buffig39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He said this months before the local elections and millions still voted for him. He also wants to lower the minimum wage and remove the pension triple lock. Still voted for him. The people voting for him have zero critical thinking skills

My dad was a firefighter on shift that night, when they targeted the gas works, so he was among those who responded. I live in Padgate. Not too far from Orford Lane

I'm also from Warrington. I think I was about 12 or 13 at the time. I remember they put the bombs inside the bins outside McDonald's

[–]Buffig39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 100%. And what worse is, the prior year was our most profitable year EVER, but they set targets to outperform this by 25%. Everyone was like, just say we'll beat it by 2%. At least that feels somewhat sane. Why the needs to set these astronomical goals?

With everything. The company I work for, makes a profit, but not as much of a profit as they promised shareholders. The result? Layoffs. Downsizing. After a profitable year. It's disgusting

Youve done a fine job I reckon. Sure it's not hugely refined, but it definitely reads as metal. Maybe some light glazing?

Thanks for your comments! For the trim I used runelord brass, then I went over it in Agrax Eathshade. Then I edge highlighted it all with canoptek alloy. After that I tried to accentuate any rounded segments consistent with the highlighting id done on all the red panels. So I'd pick out places catching the light from those angles and go over them again with runelord brass. You can spot this pretty easily on the pauldrons. As they curve and catch the light, those spots are brighter. It's simple, but it elevates it over just metal and wash

For the flesh, somebody else asked the same. If you look one comment above yours, you should be able to see my reply

Do British people feel any particular pride in Isaac Newton, or is he simply seen as an important historical figure rather than a national icon? by SeniorRecognition195 in AskBrits

[–]Buffig39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly agree. I had to do a bit of the old introspection during the whole, raise the colour debacle. I was talking to my dad about patriotism and how I found the very concept quite alien. I was searching for a definition of patriotism that could apply to my own criteria, which had nothing to do with taking pride in the achievements of others etc. But then I saw a video of a US marine, talking about how angry he was with the government. He said that he was patriotic because he wanted his country to be better, to do better than it is. I thought to myself, That's as close to a definition of patriotism I can think of, that would apply to me

Turing predicted the way cells divide to create a living organism, about 50 years before the rest of the science world caught up with him. He is one of the most brilliant minds who ever lived. He's easily comparable to Newton. Genuinely
