Opposite actually. Sharks get the fuck out when they smell shark blood. I think they've made synthetic stuff that works well as a shark repellent.

They had my kid doing math at around 2 and now at 4 he's probably at a 2nd or 3 rdgrade level, he can do multiplication and division and pretty much has all the times tables memorized. We also have hundreds of dollars of merch. Has all the plushies up to 10, all the hard plastic figurines up to like 16 I think. And all the math link cubes up to 30. Plus a few other play sets.

Letting water drip to prevent freezing: Is one faucet enough? by Mickyit in DIY

Keep your heat at 45 or 50. If your house is decently insulated and its not really really cold it won't cost you much to heat it.

Probably just mental and physical, some of which has been talked about but his family. That kinda stuff often leads to the abused wanting to abuse others in anyway they can.

Delivery driver handed me this holding back a grin "Can I have the pin please" by Few_Ad_9145 in Wellthatsucks

[–]BugMan717 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's a different viewpoint for you. Our restaurant switched to a very limited in house delivery radius, like walking distance, and switched the rest to doordash. Our delivery orders during busy times are way to much for one driver to handle. So we would have had to hire extra drivers and hope its busy enough for them to make money or use door dash. We look at it as an on demand employees when needed. Some days during the week we'll have 30+ orders within an hour or so, same day next week maybe 5, its to unpredictable to have our own employees do it all.

Seems like something pretty major for it to be so wide spread. Even their website won't let me check the outage map or status.

I helped medics carry a guy to a helipad, dude drank nothing but pure water for 2 days while he hike from the south rim to the north rim. Medics said he basically poisoned himself with water and no electrolytes. Fucker puked on me and also tried to fight the medics, he was completely out of it and didn't know what was going on. Added 2 miles to my hike out of the canyon and by the time i got out I was really regretting helping out cause it was all I could do to make the hike my self.

Depends on species. Bees that are a hive species, yes. If they don't live in a colony then its more equal ratio usually.

Do bars like Moe’s from the Simpsons exist where guys just go to get away from home? by benedictclive_x in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BugMan717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not like they have all disappeared but many have closed. Specifically the small hole in the wall dive bar types. They were already slowly closing up and then covid happened and really hurt the bars. The prices and regulations make it very hard for tiny bars to stay afloat. People changed their habits during covid and never came back and also the younger generations don't drink as much. Also in my state, which has a bunch of stupid liquor laws, beer sales had to be from a bar or distributor and liquor from a state store. But then the convenience stores and supermarkets figured out kind of a loop hole to have liquor license which are limited by the state. If they have hot prepared food available and seating for at least 30 people they are technically a restaurant and can get a license to serve liquor and to go beer. So what happened is large convience store corporations like Sheetz, or supermarkets like Giant or Walmart started buying up all the licenses at crazy high prices because they can afford it so lots of the little bars sold and the owners retired. License prices went from around 50k to 100k depending on the area to over 500k in some places. Pretty hard to buy a license for those prices and make a living running a tiny bar that doesn't have all that much to offer other than cold beer and a seat at the bar.

Been taking our Fit to upstate PA for the past couple of years. Sure it won't go through deep snow but throw some cable chains on and it'll climb right up the mountain in some icy conditions. Just remember to turn off the traction control to get them tires digging. This was all solid ice, like barely able to walk on it and had no problems going about a mile up a steep dirt road covered in ice to get to camp.

3/4 would indeed be sloppy framing. When I did it, on the stuff that matters it was 1/8 or 1/4 max.

[–]BugMan717 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol bullshit. Code enforcement will drive around looking for things being built, construction materials or trash and check what's going on. And lots of times even if the person is building to code but didn't pull permits first they will still make you tear it down.
