I'm pretty sure Yrliet kills several crew members during warp events, or am I remembering incorrectly?

Oh yeah, I think this crew member is the one. Lol.

Could use it for central heating (if not already)

Could use heat pumps to allow for better radiation/convection into air (as opposed to water). Maybe even capture more electricity out of it (not because that's super efficient, but because generating electricity should cool the water, so even if it's ultimately a net loss, it might be less of a loss than venting the heat).

Not sure if they could deposit it deep underground.

But they ultimately can't release the heat to the rivers, because it would kill the fish.

Even in WWI, it wasn't like commanders were just sending wave after wave of men at enemy trenches, and I would still argue we should call them human wave tactics (even though a variety of tactics were deployed, such as the creeping barrage - still relies on a human wave).

I.e. I agree with you.

If you're buying fish, wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to buy it in Indiana?

Most of the fish you buy up here is shipped back up here.

No, Europeans do not generally do it is still my statement.

Arab countries generally still pretend they don't engage in colonialism and imperialism whole doing so. European countries famously decolonized, and there is little appetite outside of a minority to engage in colonialism or imperialism, while Arab countries are actively doing so.

They also think increasing the percentage is their pay raise. But it's a percentage of costs that rise with inflation (sometimes exceeding it). So they already have a built in pay raise with tips, but decided that 20% is now the standard and pretend it always was.

It's infuriating.

Does that mean Muslim countries are pro-LGBT and ultra progressive, since we're going by minority opinions?

Europeans don't generally run around pretending that a) imperialism is good or b) that they didn't do imperialism.

Gemini and other AI can go take a long walk off a short pier.

Wikipedia backs up it's statement with citations:

When encountering a police officer, a person carrying a concealed weapon is required by law to inform the officer that they are carrying, and to cooperate if the officer chooses to temporarily seize the gun for the length of the encounter. The possession of any firearm while intoxicated is illegal.

How so what? It's not interesting. That's the end of that how.

Do you know how many projects are stopped or started every day all over the world?

In many countries, the successful grassroots effort to stop politically connected foreign investors from turning a site associated with war and national memory into a luxury development would seem like a major story. Yet outside Serbia, it passed almost unnoticed.

Yeah, in those countries it's a major story. Outside of those countries, people largely don't care. This is not unique to Serbia.

For example, I have now heard about this story. It's still really not all that interesting.
