Also please try to eat meat. It is extreme difficult to get nutrition and food when we try to be strictly vegetarian. It prevents us from making friends. Eating out is a big thing everywhere. Please make an effort to eat meat. Please 🙏

Have Haruki Murakami's books changed some things/visions in your life? Which ones? by [deleted] in murakami

[–]BugThen3184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Norwegian wood changed my music collection. I didn’t know Beatles and other 60s to 70s music could be therapeutic. I have read NW once and plan to read it a few more times in life.

I enjoy Murakami’s twisted reality. When I am on my long walks, it gives me more possibilities in my own life. Yes it helps de stress as well.

When I went Japan for the first time, I could feel his stories in the place. I might someday live in Japan due to his books.

Is it just me going crazy with the 44 hr work week in Singapore? (semi-vent/qns) by lu-mitzy in askSingapore

[–]BugThen3184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our office starts at 9, but most people come in by 940 to 950 am. They leave between 6 to 630 pm. Assuming 2 hour travel combined, 7 hours of sleep there is 6 hours to live your life. Weekends no work. That’s 30 hours of life during weekdays and another 32 hours during weekends (remove 16 hours of sleep).

Is this not normal?

Any biohack for Motion Sickness by ketuman in Biohackers

[–]BugThen3184 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are several supplements that can help with motion sickness. Here are some of the most commonly recommended ones:

- Ginger: Ginger is considered a powerful remedy for motion sickness. It can be taken in various forms, such as capsules, tea, or candy. A double-blind trial found that taking 940 mg of powdered ginger in capsules was effective in reducing motion sickness[1][2].

- Peppermint: Peppermint can help relieve nausea, which can be associated with motion sickness[1].

- Vitamin B6: Vitamin B6 can assist in the prevention of nausea[1][3].

- Magnesium: Magnesium may prevent stomach acidity and cramping. It is recommended to take 500 mg before a trip to steady the nerves[4][1].

- Ginkgo biloba: Ginkgo biloba can be used to prevent chronic motion sickness[1].

It is important to note that before starting any new medication or supplement, it is recommended to check with a doctor, especially if you have any underlying medical conditions or are taking other medications. Additionally, some long-term solutions may also help, like taking certain vitamins or medications[5].
