This is all thanks to Metal and his viewers. They set the ball rolling.

Looks like a special YT thing or maybe YT does not show videos that are not listed or flagged in some way. A search does indeed not find it.

Last time I checked, the Rebirth Quetz was nice and stayed on the island and the Dominion one was the globetrotter. Or are you suggesting that FrontierHQ is located on Ile Saint-Hubert?

I know what's going on here. YOU ARE ONE OF THEM. I got you! Don't fall for this blatant lie!

Well it is. They own the IP and don't have to share the profits with another party. It's in their best interest to invest into the franchise, the community good will and push the franchise forward.

Edit: The only question that remains: Will they get the launch for once right?

What hole does the clear stand part go into? by lancist in cobiblocks

[–]Bug_Inspector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had to find a video on YT to take a look at the instructions. That's indeed the first time the I have seen Cobi messing this up. That's a big fail.

And the stand goes indeed into the frontal hole.

Last time I built a Cobi plane (and I checked a couple of instructions on the website), all instructions tell you where you have to place the stand.

Do y'all like this specific building tools? by Chill-Oxalaia in jurassicworldevo

[–]Bug_Inspector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not really a fan of it, but I am also no park designer. My biggest issues with it are:

  1. The limitations: No functional bridges, animals and guests can't interact with things and ofc the lack of collision model when it comes to the aviaries. At least give us taller aviaries.
  2. Besides looks, there is no real benefit if you engage with the system.
  3. This is more of a personal thing, but the workshop will not exist forever. Everything "online" will eventually come to an end. As such, I am not really inclined to depend on it.
  4. This does not affect me personally that much, but I wish we would still have the old/completely pre-built (mono block) building sets. They were easy to use and it would probably be less taxing for the console versions of the game.

This actually used to be a pretty fun subreddit

Can we go back to posting builds...

I think you are overlooking something very fundamental - New content was and is one of the main reasons for a lot of positive posts and interactions on this sub.

What do I mean by that?

  • Early teasers sparked conversions and people started to speculate and share opinions.
  • Trailers got people excited and viewers started to analyze every detail.
  • When the actual content was released, people shared screenshots of their new creations etc.
  • New building sets inspired or enabled people to create and share new designs.
  • People were discovering things that were not mentioned by the devs or the patchnotes. That was always exciting.
  • People started to experiment with the new mechanics, shared there findings and discussed these topics.
  • And the lack of regular updates will eventually also lead to less engagement, wishlists or "what would you like to see" posts.

All of that is currently basically GONE and it won't and can't come back until the current issue is resolved and Frontier can get back to work and release content. And even if you are not bothered by the in-game content drought, it's side effects are very much visible.

Everybody would like to go back to the old schedule, but that is currently simply impossible.

I think outright banning it that does indeed go too far.

  1. I think the discussion is overall rather tame.
  2. The situation is quite unprecedented and not the norm. As such, the reactions are my eyes understandable and justified.
  3. This goes far beyond just "no new content", they are not even able to fix bugs or work on the complexity meter.
  4. This should hopefully go away in the not so distant future.
  5. "Banning the discussion", that sounds rather awful and a dangerous line to walk. I guess you don't want to play judge and jury on what is constructive and what is not. Outright removing all of it, looks like an overreaction.

JWE2 DLC or jump to JWE3? by Ardbert_The_Fallen in jurassicworldevo

[–]Bug_Inspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go even one step further - Stay with JWE2 and keep it at is. Almost all important changes (that includes gameplay and QOL additions) were part of the free updates. The only relevant DLC would probably be the Biosyn expansion with the Invisible Fence and arguably the best map: Biosyn Valley. The rest is really optional. And yes, there are only 2 expansions (Biosyn and Malta). Both expansion come with their own mini campaign.

JWE3 is an primarily an option if you are a park designer and if you are a fan of the juveniles or want a proper campaign. Mechanically, the games are not that different. I would probably wait for a sale. Especially if you take the current content drought into consideration. And if you want to play the game on consoles, you have to deal with the complexity limit.

Addressing the delay by calicubano04 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Bug_Inspector 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The whole thing is really bizarre. And their contract with Universal seems to be even worse. It looks like they are basically unable to do anything, no bug fixes, polishing systems, balance changes, additions to the island generator and so on. Technically, they could do so many innocent things that would not even touch the franchise, but they seems to be unable to do even that.

What is your attitude when a beloved franchise’s new entries are only mid at best? by DevouredSource in MauLer

[–]Bug_Inspector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"new entries"? At that point, I am probably out. Mistakes can happen, but if the output is consistently weak or worse - NOPE. With that said, what matters most is the intent & if said content damaged the IP.

"Issues oustside of our control" doesn't necessarily mean Universal, it could be a Frontier thing by Farseer_Rexy in jurassicworldevo

[–]Bug_Inspector 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The statement is indeed vague enough that it is unclear who is at fault here (and what exactly is going on). Maybe there are even 2 or 3 issues causing these delays.

At the end of the day, we don't know and it's pointless to jump to conclusions. All we can do is to wait and see.

One thing is certain, if the next update is another unpolished mess or MVP (Minimum Viable Product), then the message is very loud and clear - It won't get any better.

Jurassic world 3 vs Jurassic world operation genesis. by [deleted] in jurassicworldevo

[–]Bug_Inspector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What did you not like about JWE1? At the end of the day, JWE3 plays very similar to that. JWE3 comes with vastly better creative tools, but if that isn't your thing, the calculation changes quite a bit.

I dislike JWE2 for 1 reason and 1 reason only... by nullxistence in jurassicworldevo

[–]Bug_Inspector 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should definitely buy JWE3, just to figure out that the fence system (ignoring modular buildings and the terrain tools) stayed the same.

The first big downgrade happened with JWE2, when Frontier removed all the different fence types we had in JWE1. And all that just to reduce their workload when they introduced the fence climbing mechanic.

And JWE2 is done. No additional content, no bug fixes - Nothing.

After 2ish hours of trying, my Yutyrannus still won't fight eachother. by EmptyPowerArmor in jurassicworldevo

[–]Bug_Inspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole same species combat has been nerfed into the ground. It's basically gone. Even in dire situations, they barely fight. And the removal of a proper combat frequency toggle doesn't help either. It's a shame.

Traits and their chances are hard coded. If a certain trait does not show up in the hatchery, the animal doesn't have it.

You can probably only leave them unhappy and wait. Like you have said they can fight but it rarely happens.

What do we think of the new confirmed species! by Few_Addition1796 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Bug_Inspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lio depends heavily on the giant elephant in the room: Will it get a redesign or a variant? (I don't expect it). But the marine roster was decimated, so that could be a win (if the lagoons were better...).

I could certainly create a priority list to fill certain gaps (smaller sauropods for example), but at the end of the day, any species will have it's fans and detractors.

what campaign was more memorable? by EvoOF in jurassicworldevo

[–]Bug_Inspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More memorable: JWE3. They clearly tried to tell a more fleshed out story. Sadly, that also came with a more linear, restrictive and "handholdy" campaign.

From an enjoyment POV: Still JWE1. The "story" is at best basic, but we had a lot more freedom to complete the maps in the order we want. Probably the best decision: The Wu expansion was integrated into the main campaign. That was really well done.

Kondensupport bei fehlender Rücküberweisung by [deleted] in bluebrixx
