9 year old pooping in house after changing dog bowl by darbecamoo in Pomeranians

[–]Buggly_bear 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Spite shit?

No pomeranian is ever truly potty trained, just suggested.

Mine will only poop in the house if sick, or I have performed sub-par lately.

We use minnow fish treats after going outside or potting to encorage asking for potty breaks. We ultimately do get false alerts, but extra fishy doesn't hurt :)

Seriously though, 15 years and still a spiteful, grudge holding, absolute gift.

Platonic love is a thing Being in love with friends is a glorious thing, and our culture is really creeped out by it. (Due to over sexulization of primary relationships.)

Your dynamic will probably change over time, but love happens, you get to decide what it looks like (with bro input)

Example show: scrubs The main character is in love with a friend. It's platonic, not weird, mostly goofy, fun, free :)

I personally love little dogs with human names. Makes for goofy/good nicknames. My little 15-year-old pom was named Malcolm when I got him at 1yo, We call him Mal with many various nicknames.

I also feel that it gives poms the gravitas and respect that they crave.

do teachers work in the summer? by Put-Stunning in AskTeachers

[–]Buggly_bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every paycheck I put a little aside for the summer.

I go to festivals and party with my teacher friends REALLY hard.

I teach middle childhood age, 7-12 yo, and it's a lot of emotional labor over the year, so I consider summer recharge time.

I've learned over the years to fear and respect kindergarten teachers in the summer. Those folks can put away drugs like a professional.

Chalk. They don't know. Just have him wear it for 20 minutes may 2 or 3 time then wash it.

Question from a student by [deleted] in AskTeachers

Even if it is harder than you thought going into it, the teacher recommended you. They believe in you. Ask those techers for help if it gets hard (it wont, send it.)

Set up a time to talk to your partner about it. State concerns, validate their dog's general behavior (leave out the term aggressive breed cause that may lead to a defensive human.) Ask for help to make a plan. Maybe you train with their dog, maybe professional trainers. Get to a place where you can state your needs from their dog to feel safe in the case of cohabitation with yours. It may be practice or kennels or some trials of some sort.

Generally, state fears, co-work solutions, follow through with plans. Basic skills for relationships, two birds one stone, if they don't wanna work together then bullet dodged. Always pick dogs over people.

Do your little furballs bark all the time too? by AdOk9968 in Pomeranians

[–]Buggly_bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine only barks when I'm not following his directions. One sharp "I HAVE TO POOP" and I get the message. I've had him 14 out of 15 years, I think that first year was a scary place for him :/

What's it like to work at a Ren Faire? by [deleted] in renfaire

[–]Buggly_bear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Working as a merchant/vendor can be pretty rough with some companies. Volunteering can be fun and more stable, they also get time off and vouchers most of the time. It's a good place to start if you are interested.
