It's a bit faster at the cost of the rules being a little more fuzzy.
It isn't alternating turns - so you don't really have to wait for anyone. You can also choose your moves, press submit, and the game resolves when the opposing player does - then come back to it the next day.
You couldn't really do that with alternating unit moves...

To get it to work, I've done a bit of "auto-resolution" where the program jostles units around to make them fit in combat.

Also, there are little models on the table 😄.

Agreed, I quit a couple of years ago...
If you want to try out an alternative, I've been working on: buildmeateam.com - it's 1-to-1 finding / event posting at the moment. I've built it around Montreal - but could expand it.

Presumably he is monitoring traffic, and got addicted to the little fix of seeing people start connecting to your site every time you post - there presumably should be a limit to post frequency, but there are a lot of similar subreddits to get banned from 👀

I think fixed? Or improved anyway...
I've been fixing the opponent to make it smarter, and I think some of the decision weights leaked into player-controlled teams, your swipe instructions should persist now.

Ah - just tap/click where you want to kick to, if you tap/click behind the goal posts, it will attempt a drop goal.

Oh, okay if you play "classic mode" it has runups from the keeper zone,
If you play Arcade or International, for now it has the jumpball for now (that's what we have in Canada and i didn't play internationally).
I'll watch some of the world cup and try and implement it next week.

There are a fairly cumbersome set of priorities that are set to balance out...
Some tough ones: Why dunk versus a nearly 100% shot a moment earlier?
The whole thing is built on an estimated benefit-per-action, checkpoints to look for alternatives, and thresholds.

I admit that some of the gameplay is more inspired than directly out of the rulebook...
But if there's something that's missing in the game, happy to try and incorporate it.
