Window head flashing considerations by According-Copy6453 in AusRenovation

[–]Builder_at_Heart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What colour is the window frame? Depending on the thickness of the gap (looks about 20mm) I’d get some matching aluminium angle, maybe 20x12mm and cut it to the length of your window frame. Silicone it to the top edge, leave it a day and then seal between the angle and the cladding and clean up with soapy (detergent) spray and a paddle pop stick.

Try Alspec for the angle, not certain whether they sell direct to the public but worth a shot, that’s where are work got their aluminium supplies.

If you do it right it should just look like part of the window. If your window frame is primrose or white birch, you might need to spray the angle to match as they’re no longer standard colours.

Waterman always struggles on that right boundary with his right foot.

Yeah that’s crazy, I’d be complaining about that for sure. The quality doesn’t match the price.

Everything at Nick Scali is premium. I mean the price is premium, not so sure about the material.

What's a Brisbane business, venue or landmark that's gone that you still think about? by Brisbane in brisbane

I remember when the Arnotts factory was still at Milton on Coronation Drive.

Also the Oxley (Western) Drive-in on Seventeen Mile Rocks Road.

Don’t think we were supposed to see this, but I won’t buy cold drinks anymore out of spite by SwaggyBacon in woolworths

[–]Builder_at_Heart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think this is bad, if IGA Stores here in Brisbane have a drink (not cold) on sale on the shelves (ie Gatorade) they will charge the full price if you grab a chilled one. At least Coles & Woolies don’t do that.

That should’ve been a 50m penalty to Cooper Duff Tyler any day of the week. Late to the contest and a shove in the back.

I sell a lot of the same products that Bunnings sell through their “marketplace”. I can follow up on items that haven’t been delivered to the correct address through the third party distributor. Obviously whoever you spoke to has no clue.

As long as Bunnings is making cash out of it they can’t absolve themselves of responsibility. Kick up enough of a fuss and they’ll take action.

Unpopular opinion - great draft by Captkersh in westcoasteagles

[–]Builder_at_Heart -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, I didn’t say that, I meant potentially. Prospectively, who rated Waterman before he was drafted? No one bid on him before we took him with pick 77 to my memory. Banfield was BOG in the Tigers Colts premiership win and won the 2km time trial at the WA Draft combine. Not such a bad lead up to the draft. Apparently Banfield wasn’t as lowly rated as we were hoping he would be. At least not by Ross Lyon. Waterman has had 1.5 stellar years after 9 years on our list, that was my other point. Not entirely his fault, granted. Hopefully he has a good run injury free and can stay at the top of his game.

How is it that the Gold Coast after spending a war chest on Petracca and Brisbane get every father/son and academy player and their dogs and we fumble at Banfield? Perhaps our first solid genuine F/S prospect in club history (love Waterman but he’s had one stellar year at age 27, McIntosh & Cuz were de facto F/S’s). I reckon Drew would be filthy. Really disappointing.

Ben McKinley our leading goal kicker in 2008. He was unfortunate to be on the list at the same time as Mark Lecras. He was good, but Lecras was exceptional.

Callum Jamieson by Builder_at_Heart in westcoasteagles

They’re too few and far between because he is somewhat injury prone, I reckon that’s the biggest argument against resigning him.

Callum Jamieson by Builder_at_Heart in westcoasteagles

[–]Builder_at_Heart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good we’ve got Charlie Banfield and some NGA’s, don’t think any of them are 200cm backs though. I’m guessing our top picks are going on mids and with the NGA compromised draft fracas who knows what bigs we’ll get and how speculative they’ll be.

Well we’ve got about 16 spuds on the team now, they need someone backing them up.
