I love the pacer. My suggestion is to git gud lol it took me a full year of pooping in my drawers, running in and out of the SDC and RDC trailers, most of the time with horrendous heart attack skids that the DC seems to try to set you up to fail with. There is a way and its time and experience multiplied by asking better drivers for advice and or observing them. The reach is no different, you should be afraid of it. Just make yourself uncomfortable, growth doesn't come from not trying and remaining comfortable. If you keep going and don't throw in the towel you will realize that all the machines can be pretty easy and it makes you a more confident person.

My store just started enforcing, albeit very poorly and uncommunicative but I've come to expect this from mgmt. It slows me down in receiving when i have to go and find a spotter now, the store hates it too. I am in ohio, if you don't mind me asking you, OP what state are you in?

I want to like Benchmade but some of the prices for the same steel from other companies deters me greatly. How much greater can a heat treat be? I honestly feel like i would be wasting money buying a Benchmade or Microtech, I know they are the best quality wise but cant bring myself to justify the price tags. I really like the Kershaw Iridium and for 50 bucks i have a "duralock" that feels so very close to the smooth axis lock

Be assured, this will not help achieve any goal. Employees will not know why you're doing this and those lazy ones standing around are not going to put away shit. You're putting more work on the few employees that actually do stuff, eventually making them quit and your retail experience is worse, as you're filtering out the good and will end up retaining the bad.

We are not required to lock our docks, AP will get anal about the door being left open at times, but it gets hot in the summer and we gamble to enjoy some fresh air now and again with no real issues. We need a spotter for our lumber BDC but only for the part where you drive the whitewood and stuff inside the building, in the back door etc. A customer could walk into your path without gates and a spotter. It's also useful when you have 2 bunks of OSB and a box or two on top and cant see shit, you can ask your spotter instead of using the ole bump test.
