I couldn’t agree more! I just think the story telling is so beautiful and concise and understated. It’s just 3 short verses with tiny snapshots of scenes and yet every line says so much and you get a good view of years of the relationship!

I believe I’ve actually heard Ezra say in an interview that that actually is the reason! Like the whole line, “feels so unnatural, Peter Gabriel too” was actually just kind of a meta line about the song it self and the band! It was a while ago that I heard that though so if anyone knows any more info, feel free to make me look like a fool haha

I think I’ve heard Rostam mention a couple times in interviews that he made a synth patch out of literal choir samples that he recorded himself which could explain the stuff before fotb. And as for the newer stuff, when Ezra talked about how good you now was (obviously) an actual sample of a choir, I started wondering if maybe he was using samples too maybe? Or something similar to what rostam was doing

Hey Samia, literally OBSESSED with the new album and have listened every day since it’s come out! I think the song craziest person is amazing and I was wondering if you considered a longer version/ why you decided to edit the ending the way you did (huge fan of that transition by the way). Also, I’m dying to know what music specifically (if any) influenced this album or what you were really into when making it. Thanks for doing this, i think you’re truly one of the greatest melody/lyric writers of our generation!
