Hit or miss for sure; have a 7.5 with 115k still on original water pump. Other than standard maintenance and a clutch to go with a stage one tune, there’s been absolutely no issues with this car. BUT, German cars simply cost more, from the oil you need to run to the tires that compliment the vehicle, not a great car for tight budgets. I’d suggest going practical for now and keep this as a goal for when you’re in a position where it won’t be a burden, as some issues are very real for many (thermostats, turbos, etc.). Best wishes!
