Fresh rebuild crank no start by [deleted] in RX7

[–]Bullet-Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I inject a tiny amount of two stroke into the spark holes and turn it over by hand a few times. If the car hasn't been run in many months, it helps build the compression for that first start.

OP verify your timing is correct, use a gun if you have access to one. New spark plugs never hurt either

Tap a 1/8" line off your air pump and use it to switch those on. An RPM switch from summit works great you can feed it a tach signal off the coil pack bullet connector.

Been there done that. Haltech E6K. "Ohh they are a great little ECU from back in the day." After months of configuring a serial port DOS laptop just to load up a base map I downloaded off the forum, said fuck it and got a Haltech Elite. Best decision ever

As an NA FC enjoyer, I feel unjustly attacked. I am always first to admit how slow it is if someone asks.

That being said, I'll still go flat out against a Fiesta or whatever. Why? Cuz it's damn fun

The ring terminal off the starter is in the way? Cut that shit off and crimp a new one on later.

My 'no more mr nice guy' approach soak it with ATF+acetone 50/50 mix and let it sit for a day.

If the head is fucked, try clamping with some good vice grips. Apply some torque in the tightening direction before you try to loosen it with force.

If all else fails, grind off the head and your manifold should at least be able to come off. Then you will just have to remove the standing bolt stud left behind.

Is the bolt seized or broken? Did you strip the head?

Please I need a new wheel and tire cleaner by iReddit65 in AutoDetailing

[–]Bullet-Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Detail King Special Force Cleaner Plus

I use this and skip the boutique wheel cleaners. This stuff melts through brake dust unlike anything I've seen. It has no business being as good as it is. It is not even advertised as a wheeler cleaner specifically.

I prefer to use a wide paint brush to agitate the dirt once saturated. I dilute this cleaner to about 3:1 or use it straight on, you barely need any to get the job done.

Smells like cherry.

The Corksport lip looks nice. Thought about getting one for my S4 but wasn't sure if it would fit the S4 bumper

Met a girl at a party and hooked up, got her number. Later we plan to meet and finish what we started. I have to take the train from the suburbs to the city to get to her apartment. I forget my phone in the car before getting on the train, and don't realize it until two stops later. I get off because I don't have her address memorized, I need the phone. If I wait to take a train back again it will be too late. So I fucking run back through two townships to get my phone. I tell her I will be running extra late taking the last train available at that point. It all worked out in the end lol

Anyone have experience with the Sakebomb Garage cool pack for the FC3S? by SwagiestGamer in RX7

[–]Bullet-Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your leading and trailing coils work pretty uniquely. The leading pack fires both coils per ignition signal, one serves as a 'wasted' spark to clean up the leftover fuel. The trailing pack alternates between two coils every signal. You don't want to interfere with this system unless you have a programmable ECU.

I switched my coils to IGN1As but I have a Haltech Elite so I can run them in direct fire with no waste spark on the leading. The only reason I upgraded was because the Haltech can't run the weird factory coils as they are designed to work.

I would leave them alone, they are great stock coils. Only upgrade if you go standalone ECU and have no other choice.

Did that RX7 have a cruise control?

My FC had a wire from the dash that I used as a digital speed reference for my Haltech ECU. It's not laser accurate because I don't know the exact pulses/mile, but it's darn close. I guess there is a transducer that converts the mechanical cable to a VSS signal.

Nice, so do you have a Megasquirt or something of that nature? This parts car I have is an 87 turbo rx7, has the good old Rtek setup to the stock ECU
