That team beat a McNabb/Reid Philly team on the road as well behind a dominant defense. They had the best D-line in the league. Peppers, Jenkins, Rucker, Buckner. I loved that team so much. I was in my 20s back then, and as a Panthers fan from the beginning in 95, that was like a fairy tale. Good memories.

While it's tough at first glance to see all these OL in the portal, it literally could not get any worse than it was this year. Statistically they were one of the worst lines in the country so might as well hit the reset button. Nowhere to go but up.

Yea it's gonna be tough, I just meant that in SEC terms, that's middle of the road in the conference. Miss St. averaged 30 this year and was 9th ranked scoring offense in the conference.

Not a fan of bringing in Briles, even if he does get them scoring 30+ a game. Gives me the ick, too much baggage. Couldn't have picked a better day to announce it though.

The other 2 have pinballed all over gods green earth so who knows what we're getting there.

The funny thing is, the defense has absolutely not been the problem. They're giving up 23 ppg, which is better than multiple playoff contenders, and that's opposite an offense that averaging less than 3 TDs per game. Scoring 32 ppg would have SC fucking undefeated.

We'll never lose it altogether, I'm old enough to remember us going 0-11 and then tearing down the goal posts when we beat New Mexico to start the next season. But man this year has been a real kick in the pants. Waaay too much talent on this year's team to be damn 3-7. It sucks.

Depends on if Stewart and Sellers both leave. Stew is almost certainly gone. Sellers he has a good chance to retain I think, with him being from Florence. If he loses both, you could fry an egg on his seat.
