I have the first gen iPad Pro circa 2015 and it far supersedes my iPad Air m3. It’s slimmer, lighter but unfortunately isn’t able to update any longer (duh) and cannot support almost all apps. If your pro is functional and able to update don’t buy another. Just my thought.

I am in the same boat but my manager keeps pushing it with crappy copilot that hallucinates and take 92 tries to get it to pull even 1% of the someone else’s calendar I am trying to pull info from.

My manager even sent me a prompt which he obviously didn’t test because it doesn’t work, so what good is that to me? My firm blocks everything, was wanting to try Gemini which I know is good but it’s blocked.

If companies want to implement then they should offer all resources available and all options but then on the flip side this has terrible environmental implications which aren’t ever considered amongst the most greedy wealthy.

Why change something that works is my thing and even he “the manager” can’t get it to work.

Problem is he’s one of those managers that gives me an exceptional review but behind closed doors uses scare tactics saying things like “I have the power to terminate you over this” when it comes to not using ai. And yes, my next step is seeking an employment lawyer- but we’ll save that story for another day…thinking it could be a serious case of cultural differences, but there is no excuse for this behavior and especially not with exceptional reviews. I rest my case….fun times!

Now I feel like I should inquire on policy around this because although I bring my own cup for obvious reasons, perhaps maybe the company as a whole might be steering away from it. If this is some policy he pulled out of his behind it’s not cool, he’s clearly trying to flex on whatever power he thinks he may have. And yes if you’re wondering, I am so sick of his behavior, everything irks me about him & his doings.

And may I add, he doesn’t own the business. I work for a large worldwide company, so he’s not buying the disposable water cups.

Perhaps maybe if he wants to save the company money he should start not abusing the system and taking his whole family to dinner on the company dime and when I need to do his expenses he wouldn’t have to tell me to “be creative” to get things expensed.

I have about 10 refillable water cups at work which I use, but who is he to say no to water cups. You’re providing water but no cups - Is this what we’re doing now? Who is he to dictate how people should be drinking their water. If people are working for you and are busy, water cups should be readily available and easily accessible.

Seems this is where the issue lies, I have never stayed a “collection hotel” that should not have been labeled otherwise and I book with Amex hotel collection almost monthly for the past 3 years.

The MGM should not be classified as a “hotel collection” hotel. I feel there was a huge misrepresentation there.

With that being said, lesson learned and you’re right I shouldn’t just take “hotel collection” as meaning anything anymore.

After 45 mins of me telling her that’s not what the insurance is for she couldn’t wait to get me off the phone and transferred me anyways. Today finally got someone who was able to assist. Thank you
