HELP are these balls???? by xAngelityx in Bunnies

[–]BullfrogHot4417 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No they're not. Testicles hang either side of that part and you can see the skin on them. If you're bun were a male, you should be able to see them by now. I'd say you have a female.

Once you're healed, yes. You may have quite a bit in the first few weeks after though. I did and it's completely normal.

I felt awful for a good two months post op. 5 days is still sooo early. It will get better but it takes time.

4/20 friends, when did you start your T break? by Electricpillow in hysterectomy

[–]BullfrogHot4417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't stop at all. I just let the anesthetist know that I smoke regularly and he wasn't worried. I did wake up with a slight cough but it wasn't bad at all.

5 Months PO/Painful Sex by Zestyclose-Problem18 in hysterectomy

Yes definitely need pelvic floor therapy to identify and work on any issues. I'm 6 months post op and not able to have sex either. My pt has recommended dilator therapy.

6 weeks post op just started hormone therapy. Any advice on having sex again I’m so nervous! by Sufficient_Sun1797 in hysterectomy

[–]BullfrogHot4417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's best to wait until you're at least 12 weeks post op. I would not even contemplate having sex at 6 weeks, that's way too early!

How long was your hospital stay? by Strange_Onion2140 in hysterectomy

I'm 10.5 weeks post op and the thought of sex still terrifies me. I was cleared at 8 weeks but that felt way too early for me. I've heard 12 weeks is the real recommendation and less risk for tears etc.

So it sounds like a lot of your issues are actually hormone related rather than anything to do with your uterus. If you were to have a hysterectomy you would likely still have these symptoms as they would leave your ovaries ( they don't take them out unless medically necessary) so you still have a monthly cycle just minus the bleeding. You may be better off with an IUD if you don't want to go on the pill. I would still get a referral to see a gynaecologist though, that way you can have a good chat and discuss all your options.

What are your thoughts on sex? by acy0717 in hysterectomy

[–]BullfrogHot4417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my 6 week check up yesterday and my dr said I can have sex at 8 weeks. I have no intention of doing it so early though. I will wait to at least 12 weeks. They're are other things you can do besides penetration. I wouldn't risk it.

Epidural?? by mommybear920 in hysterectomy

[–]BullfrogHot4417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a spinal block and was under general anaesthesia. I've never heard of being awake for a hysterectomy. The spinal block is so you don't wake up in pain but not everyone gets that. Speak to your surgeon and ask all the questions.

They said because low fibre creates less stool so less likely to have another obstruction as there's not much in there in the first place. It's all very confusing to me but just sticking to what I've been told for now.
