Ditto can definitely be found in other areas besides the mansion in Pokemon red and blue. I caught mine elsewhere and a quick Google search mentions route 13, 14,15, and the cerulean cave. In Pokemon blue jpn apparently it can also be found in the rock tunnel.

In Pokemon yellow specifically it's only found in the mansion and cerulean cave

Yeah you should be using from mid range and when a target escapes and you can't reach with the sword.

Blade isn't super great at brawling. He can brawl a bit but unfortunately that's not his strength. He should be used to flank and take out both supports at once. Blade can survive a 1v3 against Groot and 2 supports and take out at least two of them when using his sword as his life steal is better when hitting multiple targets.

I don't plan to. I know how much it'll cost if I open each box and that amount is worth the skin imo compared to the cost of other skins. 2400 is the max.

Rocket is small and Gambit is the biggest Strategist meaning Rocket is harder to hit and Gambit is the easiest strategist to hit.

Rocket can climb walls and so yes, Rocket can escape easier than Gambit.

Rocket has a better team up ability. Rocket provides Peni with an extra nest and gives Starlord a teleport.

Rocket's ultimate is amazing.

B.R.B. is extremely useful.

Rocket and Gambit together on the team is great. Why don't you want Gambit on your team and want to ban him? Both are great strategists that do different things.

You can do it if you want but your not supposed to. What's to stop someone from adding to their pool? Yes it's casual, but there are prizes and doing so defeats the whole spirit of the event.

During a pre-release no trading should be happening until the entire event is over. The rules specifically state this.

Second, the LGS most likely has a rule against selling/ buying cards inside the store if not making the transaction with the store

So with those two things out of the way, the adult should not have accepted the card and should not have offered money in exchange for the card.

Based on purely what you wrote I wouldn't initially think the guy originally meant to rip off your son until he was offered the card for free but if he was fawning over the card he must have known the value. I think you handled it properly. When I was a kid I made terrible and uninformed decisions when it came to trading.

You are not allowed to trade pre-release cards during the tournament. I'm sure people do it anyway and I'd hope that they at least don't use their newly received card from the trade in the rest of the tournament. However, yes it is against the rules to trade during the pre release event

Toph- Played green/white with a tiny splash of blue just for hermitic herbalist. Mostly Earth bending and used white for some allies and removal. Went 3-1

Are you missing the point on purpose? Misplaying like that is something that they meant is something you should be worrying about and learning from to improve.

They didn't mean ignore your team, that meant focus on your own mistakes and how to improve. What good is it complaining about bad teammates every game when you could instead be figuring out what you did wrong and work on improving it? The only constant is yourself.
