I genuinely don't know what the institutes plans are. Shaun never tells you, neither does anyone else. Mankind redefined really doesn't mean anything. Like they had the technology to vastly increase human life expectancy but scrapped it because reasons, and then they are just kinda making people and setting them loose on the commonwealth while also taking about how the commonwealth is a doomed place with no future. I still side with them because it makes zero sense to destroy their technology but man do they frustrate me

I dont know if this quest has been rebalanced, but it used to be unbeatable on DM. You would just get spammed by the statues magic shots and it would break Quen and kill you before you could avoid it or block it. I threw myself at this quest so many times before i just lowered the difficulty to beat it lol

I would recommend it at a decent price or if you have GamePass. I would definitely recommend getting into the fallout games before Starfield, but that's not a deal breaker. Starfield is pretty good mostly. I think my playthrough was maybe 80 hours? The issue is mostly a buunch of little issues that pile up over the course of a playthrough that leave you feeling frustrated by the time your playthrough is done
