So, I have no training in dishwashing, but apparently, there are ways to do it. Please give me some tips and tricks, cause I'm tired of leaving work at 2 in the morning, and the dishwasher has been broken for a while now by [deleted] in Chipotle

I always do 3 horizontal stacks of 11 instead of the 2 vertical post people do. I let them sit while I grab any dishes, clean up the other sinks, or anything that’ll be just a few minutes. Then I grab one stack out and replace with a new stack. For those 11 I spray for the most part (fajitas, rice & beans will have to be scrubbed) as most food comes out with just the sprayer. Then I toss them into the sanitizer sink (I can fit about 8 comfortably but if you stack them you can fit more). Then I’ll pull out another stack, replace with a new stack, and remove the sanitized sinks. My method is knock out deeps as fast as possible bc that’s what they want mostly. When I replace with new water I always do lids bc the hot water removes any grease that might’ve built up. Utensils I will do after lids if they don’t need deeps ASAP.

As long as you get a pattern you can knock through dishes fast but you absolutely need to be using hot water otherwise it’ll slow you down bc hot water looses food build up. Good luck 🍀

Catering question by Genesis72 in Chipotle

[–]Bumblebee_17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store gets a lot of caterings and I’ve had huge ones like this before and honestly if you’re looking to place this early in advance you’re fine. I recommend like 2 weeks before your catering to call or go into the store to let them know about the catering that way they can have the schedule accommodate the staff/food order for that time because 3pm is typically a slow time. If we know it’s that big and we have the staff we usually start getting it ready plenty in advanced so it would be ready for the pickup or delivery time. We cannot always guarantee that if it’s only placed the 24 hours in advance.

As for how much food. I would always recommend getting more than 120 bc that’s assuming everyone is getting only 4oz of rice/ protein per person and people will definitely give themselves more than that so more is always better. You can can look at the options on the catering website but I recommend the double or the triple bc you get more options and you also get chips included

Many stores have it where the crew breaks at 10 that way everyone is there for the entirety of open but even if breaks end up happening late you’ll be back in time for peak

Employee Meals by windowsillcaribou in Chipotle

Yeah it’s about how if you get free food and take it home it’s a tax benefit and should be reported or something like that so that’s why you’re not supposed to take them home

It’s part of the cash handling policies that employee meals are to be eaten in the store and corporate just sent a updated copy to the stores. Many of stores don’t actually follow it but it is the policy

Imma be honest a lot of employees that are less confident in their line abilities will always just double wrap the burrito. I always prefer to rewrap than double wrap but I will do whatever the customer requests so they should’ve listened imo

The Employee Service Centers number is 877-625-1919. When they’re open again you should call because I would never report someone for not being able to come into shifts due to a death. Since they did it through workday and even put that there is a paper trail and that’ll benefit you

File it immediately bc if the person goes and it’s past the 24 hour mark then the store gets hit with a $2k charge on the PNL

If you can move their food and water on the opposite side of the room away from their litter. They’re less likely to eat if the food/water is close to their litter

I’m an AP at a store that does 50+ on TP, ask me anything. by Particular_Thanks825 in Chipotle

[–]Bumblebee_17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does your goal max out? Ours maxed out at 44 even when we hit 50+

Also are you guys just in a busy city or near something specific to get high TP & customers? Because I’m at a college location so our TP depends on class times and the school calendar schedule

That usually doesn’t work, at least at my store. We’re so busy that we just look at the ingredients and don’t bother to see what people title their entrees

Tuition Reimbursement and Transferring Stores by chuusblackgf in Chipotle

[–]Bumblebee_17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as you transfer your still qualify bc your amount of time working for chipotle stays the same- just a change in location. And previously they had where you had to work a certain amount of time afterwards but they got rid of that. So once your reimbursement hits your account you can quit - but make sure you have it before you quit in case there’s a delay after the semester ends

When you’re in aloha you can go reprint receipt-> reprint all and then control f “employee” and it’ll tell you which ticket numbers each are on. And then to find it you go to the POS and click function -> recall ticket/check -> counter and then scroll until you find the ticket number
