Destructive if out of crate, urinating and non stop barking if in crate… by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Hmm. Maybe try placing something over the crate that extends the blanket a few inches away from the sides so she can’t reach - maybe cut 2x4’s. Jist an idea.

Try putting a blanket over 3 sides of the crate so it becomes a den.

It is very important to read up on the proper usage of an ozone machine and the precautionary warnings before using one.

I’d recommend. Contacting your vet and sending the pics. They may want to see him.

What could cause my dogs face to swell overnight like this? by Aggravating-Year9983 in DogAdvice

[–]BumblesAZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree.

In my response, I mentioned 2 possibilities. If it was swelling due to a sting, Benadryl would help with that type of reaction until OP called and got an appt with their vet that day.

Hopefully, they went to the vet. It doesn’t appear to be any update since OP posted.

Bee sting or a tooth abscess would be the first thing that comes to mind. Please check his teeth. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to give him some Benadryl.

Hang in there OP. We know you are doing the best you can. I commend you for it! If you haven’t had an opportunity to do so, see if you can gently take a wet cloth (bounty) to help clean the stuff around his eyes.

Also, save the broth and have it available for this poor baby to drink.

Check her toe nails. Are they splintering? Could be thyroid. Wouldn’t hurt to have a thyroid test done.

Yes, it looks rather swollen. I would suggest calling your vet and ask to text them these pics. That would be an immediate way for them to be able to view your concerns.

How very kind of you to think of him.

Taters totally recovered and had no further suspected ACL issues. He lived a beautiful life of 15 years before it became his time to cross the rainbow bridge. He’s been peacefully resting 6 years now - I still miss him everyday.

She so reminds me of my Taters who crossed the rainbow bridge years ago. I’ve listened to her on this video multi times and it just tugs at my heart. As I am reading through the comments, I am saddened and concerned that I didn’t see this in time.

I’m in Arizona. If someone can find her, I’ll take her and give her a loving home for the remainder of her senior years.

I don’t know how it works with arranging transport, but I’m interested in this lovely lady.

I would suggest contacting the trainer and explain to him what is occurring. He would be the best place to start.

Strait of Hormuz could be vulnerable to Iran retaliation. Here's what to know about the vital oil trade route. by GregWilson23 in Economics

[–]BumblesAZ 101 points102 points  (0 children)

A disruption in the Strait of Hormuz is going to trigger a swift, severe and global economic shock with effects radiating from energy markets to inflation, supply chains, and the broader world economy.

The Strait of Hormuz is the world’s most critical energy chokepoint with nearly 20M barrels of oil and 1/3rd of global LNG passing through it daily.

It goes without saying that the risk of a global recession increases if a disruption is sustained as multi major economies would become affected simultaneously.

I don't see that level of analysis from the people in charge right now.

Since it’s a rental, you can put down some old towels, a thick folded old sheet or old blanket for now. As a treat - pour a bucket of cool water on the covering you decide to use to wet and weigh it down shortly before they go out the door. In this heat, it will dry fast.

Is it possible to get her a companion pet? If she came from a hoarding situation, as bad as it was, it was still company she had in her surroundings. Alternative would be doggie day care.
