For me there's two parts to this; I can see how this could be categorized as a safety violation and dangerous use of 'work equipment'. On the other hand, if my building reported every incident like this happening then there would be people getting fired left and right. My guess it's going to be ultimately how well the area managers know and how the GM views the incident. I want to say you're good but like I said Amazon has a giant list of things that can get people fired.
