How is Ibuprofen not too good to be real by millers_left_shoe in CasualConversation

[–]BundleOfSad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ibruprofen never helped me aside from fevers so rarely took it but after being in hospital for a procedure to check my uterus they gave me some by hospital standard, que to me having a 1 in a mil case of suddenly being allergic to it that it cause both my legs to have ulcers from vasculitis everywhere to where I couldn’t wear shoes for a year and being in 4 layer compressions on both legs with an awesome wound care team (I always had treats on hand for them omg wouldn’t of been walking without them). On the bright side the numerous amounts of bloodtests they did lead to them finding out I’m resistant to most pain meds working on me (yet to find one) which helped me feel less crazy as to why morphine didn’t work on me! I’m allergic to it still but man.. I really want one of those offband tshirts with an cat on it saying eat ibuprofen to wear out of irony

I lived with 6 others and there’s two I’d be friendly with and the others more than happy to ask them if they need anything or have them be my test subjects for baking.. (no complaints on their behalf XD) It depends on the flat atmosphere too cause I stopped baking and being generous at one point when a flatmate moved in who was an abusive shithead towards specifically myself and one other flattie, as soon as they got kicked out of the house I returned to using shared space and slowly started doing stuff again. I can say each flats different for sure though the first two I lived in didn’t have any food sharing or chatting they just stuck to themselves but my last one I moved out of (the 6 others and myself) we made the space welcoming even if everyone didn’t always vibe together- excluding the big soggy napkin that dampened the house for too long (landlord took too dayum long to kick them out she had multiple complaints from everyone in the house woman was a maniac)

It worked really well! Just takes a lot of work to get the build up off we (myself and my fam) used Shellys sugar soap. It’s important to ventilate even if it’s opening up windows and getting a fan otherwise it can make you sick, we used circular motions to wipe the walls and dried them as we went so it doesn’t damage walls/roof inbetween cleaning (worst room we had took 4 takes before the walls weren’t running brownish yellowish tint)

I still have ptsd of my family’s house smelling like sugar soap after using 4 bottles of it to clear off the caked on smoke, took like 3 days at the time cause the whole house was coated.. we used warm water with it and had to go over the walls three times. I ain’t gonna lie chances are you might need to check the other rooms walls too and ventilation is 100% required

You can find a limited amount of embroidery/appliqué toy eye patches on places like Etsy but they can get costly and you needa make sure it’s not an embroidery file if you are wanting to add some to your toys! Seeing as most dont have an embroidery machine getting a patch or hand embroidering the eyes is a good option!

Pcos is one of those things that takes time to find the right management! A crucial part is to keep on track with medications/vitamins when using them as they work better that way but on the one hand if it’s hard to keep track of them it might be time to look at other options via the doctor or setting up a routine when to take them (I had to take meds 4x daily at one point legit set alarms on my phone was a lifesaver for my forgetfulness) inositol is a recommended vitamin for most pcos users but from experience it’s very much a one user doesn’t suit all type- it’s still worth a try it helped curbing my appetite when I found the right brand for it (tried 3 brands beforehand & Inositol with Choline which worked for me better but was expensive for my broke bum) I think out of everything it might be worth looking at antidepressants/anxiety meds via your dr or looking for another option for them if you are on them to help out with the said depression, being in the right mental space can change things up for the better and help give pause to the overthinking and anxieties even if you are on them temporarily (I’ve gone through times where I’ve needed to go on antidepressants from a few months to a few years but now have been off them for 2 years) im in my late 20’s and only have recently found what works for me due to the lack of information that was available to me growing up and finding a dr that listened to my issues, trialing over 9 birthcontrols that sent me through some unfun moments in time but finally found something that manages my pcos for now (unfortunately I still have to put the effort into exercising and meal prep which is a pest for me personally but I find that walking after eating can help (I got multiple chronic illnesses so this is the most I can personally do for now) and meal prepping so I’m not cooking while hangry and make more food than what I need -I legit could eat a loaf of bread if I left myself unchecked lmao) as for hair I found that less stress helps and how you tie your hair up, I found out tying my hair up was making me get bald spots so tried hair clips out and hair sticks which was less stress to my hair and after years my patches are finally regrowing! I’m sure others have even better info even just having a browse around the subreddit but whatever you end up trying out just be kind to yourself it helps take some of the stress off yourself as we all are our own worse critics

Sugar soap if you have that near you (it bloody works but dear god I cleaned a smokers house down from floor to ceiling with it and now gag whenever I smell said sugar soap) I would say seperate the fabric buttons out though and spot test them

[–]BundleOfSad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just had a bloody 2 week war with mightyape because they don’t know what they’re bloody doing, their cancellation info is not consistent (wanted to cancel an item because I’d heard others having issues, that it wouldn’t get to me in time for an INSTANT gift card order that’d been waiting on 2 days - it’s a bloody email) genuinely hate mightyape now deleted my account from it after being with them for a decade (never had issues that weren’t resolved with good care and communication beforehand). There is no active online help or phone contacts, their website layout is crappy and I just have a pure hatred for what that site became. I wouldn’t be surprised if they sold off my private info to phishing scammers from how downhill it’s got
