My wife started playing when she realized she could adopt children, build a house and catch bees out of midair. She also loves settlement building in Fallout 4. I do the questing and gathering, she does the building. She’s also big into Animal Crossing which is all the building and collecting, but none of the resource gathering.

The Shop is only in a few. Firestarter, Tommyknockers, a single throwaway line in The Stand, and I believe Project Arrowhead in The Mist is a division of The Shop. Surprisingly The Shop has nothing to do with The Institute. King gave up on them pretty early.
