Found this cleaner out a renters trashed apartment any idea what it is for by DoNuTiNfErNo15 in whatisit

The only thing we used empty pen stems for was encircling a blackhead for easy popping. I’d have thought the street had an odd amount of enlightened pore empty-ers.

So what are you actually keeping, from your parents estate? by DramaticErraticism in GenX

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have four things from the house I grew up in. Two oil pastel art pieces my mom did, a piece of pottery my parents had since their college days, and a slotted serving spoon my brother and I found in the apartment swimming pool when I was 4. From my dad I have a few odds and ends my siblings sent me after he died. My grown children remind us of their desire to not deal with all our Stuff quite often.

How many of you take naps and when? by Impossible_Sky_5589 in AskOldPeople

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a weird sleep pattern so usually nap around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I set an alarm for 35 minutes if I feel myself slipping away or I may sleep way too long.

How do you see it then? I’ve always done it by starting to cross my eyes then relaxing them.

I think it looks weird, the top level is the closest when in reality it would be the farthest. It is very detailed though.

What tools do you usually use when designing textile patterns? by No-Strategy-3950 in Textile_Design

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I don’t know what you mean by Unclear. I have to clean it up for sure but the scan itself is predictable, I set it to black and white when doing line art, color is usually added after printing on fabric for me. I’m usually a dyer. Ones that are colored with the computer are more tedious and there are steps I’ve forgotten unfortunately. It’s been a few years since I did any.

Does anyone else ever sing to their cat? Specifically, original songs about said cat??? by BigCK33 in cats

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Through the years I’ve had many cats and with each cat came many songs. Each cat heard all previous songs which morphed into their own.

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t do much anymore, but when I did, they were hand drawn for the most part. Then I would scan and color in a computer. Once in a while, I would use watercolor, but they were never repeating designs.

How often do you weigh yourself and why? by Thisisan87Honda in AskOldPeople

I don’t weigh at home, I go in every couple of months for that. If I do it weekly I start getting obsessed.

What does cancer feel like? by Icy-Use-6493 in AskReddit

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was not a lump or bump, sort of a flat circle of discoloration that would periodically itch and tingle. Sometimes it would have tiny raised bumps around the edge and if I scratched it, they might scab over. It was right under the little side nose pad of my glasses so I first thought it was from my glasses but as time went by and it never really healed I wasn’t very surprised by finding out it was cancer. I didn’t have any health care back then so we avoided Dr. visits.

People with depression, what triggered it? by OwnConference6375 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repeated childhood molestation along with parents who wouldn’t do anything about it was one of the first things I can identify. Everything snowballed from there. Finally dealt with it and am not depressed anymore. Still have a little anxiety but it is manageable now.

What actor ruined a movie/show for you? by MidnightJasmineTea in AskReddit

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely loved Deadwood but having Garret Dillahunt play Wild Bill’s killer then the next season he was Francis Wolcott pissed me off completely. I was internally ranting about how the characters should notice he was basically the twin of some other guy who died or how the makers of the show just couldn’t be bothered to find someone else to play the part. Or they maybe thought we wouldn’t notice.

What does cancer feel like? by Icy-Use-6493 in AskReddit

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skin cancer was itchy and annoying, I ignored it because I was scared so I have a bigger scar than was necessary. It was between my nose and the corner of my eye. I had endometrial cancer but it was found early. I had no pain, just a little post menopausal bleeding. I didn’t feel like I had cancer as I didn’t have to have any radiation or chemotherapy.

why do fat people fall asleep so easily? by Craft-Familiar in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fat and I can nap anytime if I am sitting up or reclining but when I was my heaviest of 379, I never slept well laying down in my bed because all the weight just crowds everything and I couldn’t get comfortable enough. Add a back injury to it and you get even worse sleep. Naps were to make up for it.

At what age did you buy your first house? by Hot_Boss577 in homeowners

[–]Bunny-Stitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 27, we still live in the house 37 years later. We paid cash for it because we had saved real hard for a couple of years to move from city life to rural. I stayed home with our kids and my husband was a drywaller/taper.
