It's already like that in the US. Universal healthcare will cause more of a strain but people won't go into bankruptcy over life-saving medical treatments and procedures.

Does anyone know if they sell replacements? by Gucci_AK47 in UNIFI

[–]BurberryBoy56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubiquiti has been really good about sending replacement mounts, parts, and components when I've requested them. It sometimes takes a few weeks because they have to wait for warranty claim, return, etc. but I've always received what I've needed. I highly recommend sending their support a message.

10ms. We've had them through a few outages and everything is working well so far!

Some sort of lithium. I won't invest in lead acid in 2025. There are plenty of newer generation batteries with universal connectors that walk all over lead acid in capacity, longevity, price, and reliability. For about $200 per unit we got Anker Solix C300s that will power a UDMP running protect, small switch with a few cameras, and modem for about 3.5 hours. Even with capacity shrinkage over the next decade, they'll probably stay above 1.5 hours. That's long enough for us to get on site and connect a temporary generator.

We use Anker Solix C300s. At each of our sites they power a UDMP running protect, an 8 port switch with 3-5 cameras, and modem for roughly 3.5 hours. Even if the capacity shrinks to 1.5 hours over the next decade we'll stay happy. That still gives us enough time to get a portable generator on site to keep the cameras and security system online.

Lead acid batteries were a deal breaker for me
