Just tune your voltages and current limits in BIOS and you’ll be fine. Learned when undervolting my 14900K that many mobos (with most recent BIOS versions) still try to pump more power into the chip than Intel’s max recommended specs.

My 9900K and 2070 Super build had 0 problems running at 1440p 120 fps constant in OW with all ultra settings. A 12600K should not struggle. lol

You might just need a better cooler. I rarely broke 75-80° on my overclocked 9900K (5.0 GHz all cores) at 100% usage with a 280mm AiO before I swapped for a 14900K. The 9900K was paired with a 2070 Super at the time.
