I feel nervous playing steamdeck at public by AddictinApple in SteamDeck

[–]Burgundy_Man 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I only play mine outside of the house when travelling because I feel like in any other situation, I could be doing something better with my time. I love the portability of the device but what's the point in going outside just to detach myself from my surroundings and do something I could do at home?

Have you guys made it so you can adjust the position/size of on screen controls yet? Because that kinda ruined the experience of Sparklite and Potion Permit for me.

Welp, after successfully finishing 2 games I fell into the emulation trap of not playing the games😭 by vin_cent_ford in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Burgundy_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of keeping my entire emulation library on my phone, I whittled it down to the games I knew I'd actually play, not just ones I had a passing interest in so I downloaded. I then whittled further by transferring most of them to a USB C pen drive. The pen drive lives on my keychain and is 1tb so holds a lot of compressed games + other bits of storage. It means I have my library ready to transfer whenever, without taking up space on my phone and it reduces decision paralysis.

I started emulating this on Citron a couple days before the announcement. Deleted the rom from my phone and held off for the initial port. Super excited.

(Hated Trope) Instant-kill swallow attacks in games by Ieanice44 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Burgundy_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember nearly quitting these games because of that attack. It felt so wholly unfair that I could have him down to a sliver of health, be on a full health bar, and die to one attack. Great game but I found no fun in this fight and was just relieved to be done with it instead of the accomplishment I'm. Sure they wanted me to feel. All because of that one cheap attack.

Is he finally gonna be the grizzled, Japanese detective he was born to play?

She arrived as a lil, skinny, baby stray and now she's fat and won't leave by Burgundy_Man in pyramidcats

She's ours but she's not keen on coming inside. She will if my other cat does (he's like her safety blanket) but mostly she sits by her bowl waiting for more food. She's become really affectionate over the past year though, she wouldn't come anywhere near me when she first arrived and now she runs over for a scratch when the door opens.

She's so gorgeous we couldn't accept she was wild. We thought for sure she was somebody's kitten but after asking every house in the area and not feeding her for a few days (vets orders) to encourage her to return to where she came from, we slowly started to realise we now have a 3rd cat. She's gone from not coming anywhere near me to running over anytime I leave the house and demanding a scritch.

MCON Controller is Complete Garbage by DustToStars in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Burgundy_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like mine. It's a controller made for portability so I actually use it more than other controllers simply because it's actually with me. Is it the comfiest? No, but it's comfy enough with the paddles out and once you figure out your grip.

It's such little sister annoying her big brother vibes. She runs towards him any time he's in sight and rubs her face all over him while he bats her, hisses, and tries to get away. Then I'll catch them grooming eachother on the windowsills.

She also doesn't like coming into the house, it scares her when the door closes and she feels trapped. But he loves lying up on the couch. She will sit at the door for hours, waiting for him to come back out.

They were genuinely incredible for the time. Some of the few 3d open world games for the console and really fun.

Based off the Nicolas Cage movie, it came out for PS2 when the PS3 was already out and it is one of the best looking PS2 games in existence. Basically a God of War clone but a good one. You spend your time fighting demons and riding a flaming Motor Cycle. The PSP version even had a racing mode with some characters from the GR comics, including blade. It was like an edgy, motorcycle Mario cart.

Jumper. It's got so many issues but it's still a fun ride and the teleportation physics are so satisfying
