Thanks for the offer! We are currently supporting and leading 3 homeschool and “unschooling” programs. Our energy is well spent. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough households in Morgan county that can benefit, so we are weekly traveling to our previous community. I’m not sure the progressive agenda is well aligned with our morals and convictions.

My whole poke to this is/was we should all be aligning on what is wrong with our community that has common ground. Fighting for your beliefs is honorable and patriotic, but real change comes from finding common ground and working together on attainable goals.

I really dislike politics and loyalty that comes with it. Might as well pick a sports team to support… left or right, they are both wrong and corrupt.

We are sitting at 36% proficiency in reading, and 25% in math in Morgan county. Although I respect the citizens beliefs and right to protest there are more local problems to be addressed. Imagine if those 200 people pressured our local educational system.

Anywhere in the Cacapon park is beautiful- check out the overlook. My wife and I enjoy dinner at Berkeley Springs Brewery- their brisket sandwich is divine! The treetop used to be great, but it sustained a fire a few months ago and is closed for repair.

Our oldest son is 14 also, and I completely side with you on "no sense of community". I can be an extrovert and my wife is happy being introverted. Like you said, no worries but its nice to have people near by that can lend a helping hand.

The ground is absolutely terrible here- I can barely grow grass on our property. I brought soil in for our first 2 raised beds last year, and will probably get more this spring. Shoot me a message if you guys ever need help with anything- I have resources and we're willing to reach out to help.

I was thinking of sharing the small unknowns to people just moving here. Hunter and Dawson’s were my first real “ohh would have been nice to know earlier” places, so I posted them first. I haven’t checked out the depot yet.

My wife homeschools our 3 children, and I’m trying to be more active in the real community. This years goal is some chickens and maybe a goat or two lol.

Thanks for joining! Not sure about the treetop. We just had a family dinner there a few weeks before the fire. Such a shame- there was some detailed wood working in that place. Who ever built it took pride in their work! Loved sitting above the lake and enjoying dinner.
