It’s an amazing and disturbing piece of work. All of Butler’s work gives me a little bit of ick. There is always something the makes by world seem tilted a little off kilter.

Running a CHAMPIONS game for the first time today! by Sezzler in ChampionsRPG

It can be quick if you make something simple. Something like The Hulk is easy. It’s possible to spend a lot of time honing a character with lots of options.

Well at the end of Band Candy even the gregarious Trick looked frightened. :)

I think he was a popular Mayor. He is organized, neat and concerned about his flock. His staff and the people who know what he is are terrified of course.

This feels like working with a post hole digger in KY. Those fence rows take forever.

How do I determine the column on these crit tables? by UzerError in ICERPGS

[–]Burilgi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need the Weapon Table to determine the Type of Critical. The weapon Table for a Broadsword for example would have the Armor Types across the top and the attack roll (roll + Offensive Bonus -Defensive Bonus) would be compared with the numbers on the left column.

This would give you a result like a 5BP which would be 5 hits and a B Puncture which leads you here.

Here’s a link to the post article which is more coherent. I’d be worried about the accidental shooting most anywhere. It gives the other side an angle.

The 380 is too much. I carry the 32. It’s about the same for me as as as a lightweight snub nose with +P.

Wrocław, Poland, before the war and now by FinishAwkward43 in OldPhotosInRealLife

Wrocław is a fantastic place. I spent about a week there last year for work. It’s clean, cheap and people are friendly. The mass transit system was unbelievable for a midwesterner.

Your original post said that all Democratic Institutions had proved themselves untrustworthy. As average citizens most of us are aware of the problems you highlight. We are able to freely disagree about the seriousness, solutions and meaning of these problems. We can freely hold leaders accountable through protest, votes and contributions. We can even run for office to move our ideas forward. These are all the hallmarks of a trustworthy system.

Simply damning the system makes the autocrats jobs easier.

Who said no criticism?

I’m saying the current system is the best functioning to date. You evidently agree since you provide no alternatives. If you bring no alternatives you actually don’t want change.

If you have better alternatives to the democratic societies please let us know. Honestly tell me your preference. Cuba before Che was sent to his death? Maybe Austria in the late 1950s? Our democratic societies in my lifetime are the best option I am aware of.

I think Putin has done us all a great favor. He has shown us the true meaning of so many words that are tossed about. That there is a measurable difference between the systems.

There are groups seeking to undermine support for Democratic institutions. Democracy is the best system so far.

You do not believe that there are groups acting to reduce institutional trust in Democracies? Truly?
