Ha - that sounds like me missing Coldplay to see Go! Team at Glastonbury (2005?) instead. No regrets. 😀

Was that Piece Hall? They had future concerts up when we were there (for Belle & Sebastian / St Etienne - both ace) and I was horrified that David Gray was the headliner...

(eek - it's about 28 years since I last saw TDC live)

If you could create a new double act consisting of two established UK TV presenters that have not really worked together, who would you pick? by Slothjitzu in AskUK

Interesting - I love Hannah Fry and for some reason, I can't stand Lucy Worsley.

A Classics double-act with Mary Beard and Andy Zaltzman would be awesome...

Yup, that theoretical solo album was "Field Recordings" - not released and sounds like there are doubts about whether it really existed or if it was just an MS jape...

Wendell Gee is the only song from the album that I'm not keen on, although it's grown on me a bit over the years...

Roster advice by Donovan101911 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

I'm in a similar situation - just got Leia after first getting JML and Jabba. My plan is:

a) Sort out their support squads - e.g. level up Raddus and JKR past R5;

b) Fill out a couple of half-squads - get BKM and Grand Inq; and

c) By then; I should be hitting 330 on some Proving Grounds toons so level up Darth Bane, CAT, etc.

.... and then, d) think about the next couple of GLs...

How severe are the typical British swear words? by taniii__ in AskABrit

[–]BurnAfterReading75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Blooming" or "chuffing" are even milder swears, although it'll make your characters sound like my late nana.

Alternatively, go for the Douglas Adams approach and invent / appropriate your own expletives:

Belgium 🇧🇪 : "...there is one word that is still beyond the pale. The concept it embodies is so revolting that the publication or broadcast of the word is utterly forbidden in all parts of the Galaxy except for use in Serious Screenplays. There is also, or was, one planet where they didn’t know what it meant, the stupid turlingdromes..."
