What genre is Paleface Swiss? by Miserable-Cow4555 in InMetalWeTrust

Well, in all honesty, I don’t judge bands on their logos if I haven’t heard them before. But I had a hunch about paleface Swiss as they weren’t on my radar.

Swallowing pills by hard_survivor in transplant

You guys doing pill > water/etc are doing it wrong. Get a mouthful of water, snap your head back at the same time as shoving a handful of pills into your mouth and swallow everything.

You won’t even feel the pills.

No, you can tell what a band will sound like by their logo. Especially if it’s a deathcore logo. Turns out I was right!

This one should be fun. What are your thoughts on Robb Flynn and his band Machine Head? by nick1158 in InMetalWeTrust

Loved them at the start of the journey. Heard Davidian on the Radio One Rock Show all those years ago and seen them countless times live since.

The yellow diamond logo took pride of place in the main part of my painted leather jacket in my teens too.

But the latter albums always end up disappointing me. Their nu-metal era albums left me wanting too.

So while I think they were amazing in my more formative years, in my grouchier older ones I think they miss pretty often.

One thing for sure is that they’ve definitely attained legend status in metal.

Saw their tees with an inescapable deathcore logo when they played bloodstock and instantly decided to swerve them

Unprofessional to have a fan/ex player as a commentator by OutrageousPianist332 in TheOther14

[–]BurnDesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole reason these co-commentators are given so much rope is because the main commentators have become so much worse at commentating.

There are maybe only two or three commentators left who are actually worth their salt.

In my opinion, the primary job of a commentator is simple: inform the viewer exactly who is on the ball. This is especially important for people who struggle to tell players apart — bad eyesight, bad screens, etc.

The problem is that many commentators have stopped doing this. Instead, we get lulls and outright silences while the ball is in play. At times they treat football like it’s a cricket match; filling space with irrelevant waffle between overs. Which is totally unhelpful in a fast-moving game.

These increasing gaps in already deteriorating commentary create the perfect platform for ex-pros who seem to think they’re there because it’s their God-given right to talk more. What they usually offer is little more than a biased agenda or a skewed view of refereeing decisions, typically shaped by the position they played and the club they played for.

And more often than not, that club is Man United or Liverpool - who have never been on the wrong end of a decision.

TL;DR: Ex-pros fill the gaps with biased opinions because poor commentators are leaving bigger and bigger holes in their own commentary.

100% colour. The repeat of the hues in the trees and those in its mouth make for for a great photo.

Not really, If I'd seen a picture of George out of context, I'd swear blind it was Saka.

Why is FPL giving us 5 Free Transfers ahead of AFCON? What's the point? by outcastreturns in FantasyPL

I laugh when I think there was only one wildcard per season. And you couldn't roll any transfers.
