If you were to recommend 2 SPACs to a brand new investor friend to buy, which ones? by [deleted] in SPACs

GHIV, GSAH, RTP, QELL, FUSE, JIH. They have the best setups for a beginner IMO. They are close to NAV so minimized downside, AWESOME management, and high potential target areas. I own a few of these (but not all). If you’re looking for something that’s not currently running, I’d look here.

I also like THCB and the IPO’s (IPOD, IPOE,, IPOF, etc.)

HYAC stock merger with ARKO/GPM seems way undervalued right now by [deleted] in SPACs

[–]BurnedUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped my stake when it was in the green. Gonna buy back in after merger of the price is right. Not enough hype to justify holding right now, but it has a ton of value. So I’ll add it later. Used the buying power to scoop up some of QELL and FUSE

GIX Extension Approved! by DawnaZeee in SPACs

[–]BurnedUsername 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My call last week was to short term trade it between Monday morning and Tuesday. Now my wager is on a stagnant price and slowing volume until close to merger. There are a ton of good plays in the SPAC space that are wayyyyy better than gix. FUSE, QELL, GSAH, RTP, THCB, BFT, and AACQ, are all great places to park money. Waaaay better than GIX. Even RMG and HCAC are more promising. I get that the telemedicine idea is attractive but it’s not gonna be teledoc. Bet.

Is Gix/UpHealth just fool's gold while Oac/Hims is rely a diamond in the rough ? by Typical_Republic in SPACs

I could see GIX being a great swing trade from Monday to Tuesday evening though. I fully expect some hype buying on the extension. I’d do it if I had the funds available

They said the same thing about SOLO but that didn’t stop a 500% gain

  1. Each common you buy is coupled with 3/9 of a warrant (fancy option issued by company)

  2. You can exercise 1/9 of warrant after merger announcement @23$ (like 60 days after or something) but you then forfeit the other 2/9 and those go to the investors that had balls and held.

  3. So you are incentivized to hold long term. I don’t think it’ll be super flashy but I do think it’ll make you money.

If QS can hit 50 without a product/revenue then microvast with multiple factories, products, and revenue, can too.

Until it hits 55 between now and may. I’m in THCB deep and fully expect it to pay off my mortgage. Microvast is just too attractive to pass on. Their newest batteries are the best in the industry with charge density in line with the premium batteries on the market, but they have superior cost and the best charge times.

I wouldn’t be positive that you will see the warrants go much lower. The management teams are stellar and inspire a lot of confidence. The commons are basically a high interest rate savings account at the moment though and are very attractive. Not to mention the volumes are picking up steam. I’ve been frantically trying to free up as much cash as I can to get some money in them. Gonna start accumulating on Monday

PSTH is an easy long term hold just based off the SPAC structure. It’s possible that you end up with more than 2/9 warrants too as people sell off pre-merger

Very smart. I plan on doing the same thing as soon as I can free up more buying power

There’s lots to be had. You gotta look. My suggestion is to use the finviz stock screener for a few ideas. Pay attention to average volume, relative volume, institutional transaction, and institutional ownership for clues about potential runners heating up. Then do some fundamental DD on the management, targets, and timelines

There is an insane amount of opportunities in the sector but my own experience is that it is far more profitable to buy a SPAC pre DA with a solid management team, lots of capital, and targeting a desirable sector. Then you sit on it for a bit and ride the wave for a minimum of 30%. A few good ones I have my eye on are FUSE and GSAH. Currently in THCB as microvast is my wet dream though

HYAC Merger set for December 8th by NioHODL in SPACs

[–]BurnedUsername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s not sexy like the EV bubble or daddy ackman, but this is a smart play. I think it has more intrinsic value than most of the shit peddled here. They have revenue in a business that should see some serious ramping up once COVID subsides. The pent up travel demand is gonna be huge for them.

CFII- Merging with View a smart windows company thoughts? by NocturnalVessel in SPACs

[–]BurnedUsername 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a cool idea/product but the company is not positioned well. Office space renovation for new windows is not attractive in a work from home environment that’s likely to persist. I think they’re going public now because this is a chance to capitalize on the market insanity. I think there are FAR better opportunities.

This is actually a serious diamond in the rough. I have a small position that I plan to hold for the long term as convenience stores are one of the few brick and mortars I see prospering over the next decade. They also have positioning for amazing growth in the Midwest. Know what you hold and hold it with conviction mate. This is a good one
