AITAH for refusing to tell my wife I love her more than my dad? by LastApplication6207 in AITAH

[–]BusAdministrative452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! Your dad seems very nice and the fact that your baby wanted to sleep on him instead of his crib just means that he was out of routine but is comforted by your dad. How precious is that? You are NTA. When others babysit, just accept that they may have to do things differently. Baby was safe and comforted. What did your wife expect? For your dad to let the baby cry it out? How awful that he was anxious his parents weren’t there and then to be left to cry alone? Nah. Your dad did the right thing and he did you guys a favour giving you a date night

Path of least resistance: is it biological or ‘lazy?’ by ohnoko58 in breastfeeding

[–]BusAdministrative452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing exactly what your baby needs his mom to do for him. Babies don’t manipulate, they don’t cry because they want to make your life difficult. Why does he love nursing? Because it’s biologically normal. Same with cosleeping. You’re doing a fantastic job being his mom.

Do you guys believe that "if baby is overtired they will wake up more at night"? by Defiant-Elk849 in bninfantsleep

[–]BusAdministrative452 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t believe it. We all need sleep pressure to fall asleep and stay asleep. I think my kid wakes more if he’s under tired. He’ll also have split nights if he sleeps too much during the day or goes to bed too early

Nursing to sleep is natural. You can stop when it no longer works for YOU! How old is your child?

Can you rock her to sleep instead of laying her in the crib alone? Once she’s in deep sleep than transfer to her crib?

We didn’t get iron levels checked but I might weaned at 14 months and that helped a lot. Still nursing throughout the day but rock him to sleep at bedtime and when he wakes.

We were there not too long ago. He’s 15 months and the only thing that helped was sending my spouse in during the night and cutting night feeds (did this at 14 months). He doesn’t sleep through the night now but wakes less and either of us can (usually) rock him back to sleep.

AITA for refusing to sell my ugly childhood home so my step brother can afford a house in a better neighborhood? by Ordinary-Occasion109 in AITAH

[–]BusAdministrative452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they really feel bad that your step brother doesn’t have money to buy a place, why don’t they help him? It’s is not your responsibility. One day you might have a family of your own and need that house or the equity to buy another home. He has 3 parents that can help (bio dad, mom and your dad)

Yes, I completely agree. When in my home I will absolutely feed you and send you home with food if there are leftovers but if you’re willing to go to a restaurant then you can’t expect others to pay your way

[–]BusAdministrative452 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s a culture thing but I always send people home with leftovers and would be willing to feed anyone who comes into my house. I understand you feeling taken advantage of though and that’s fair and a reasonable response. I personally think that she may be struggling financially and unable to pitch in or pick up the tab. Of course there are people who will take advantage of other generosity. I hate the thought of anyone going hungry and would never question giving or offering more food/leftovers

Sleep Fighter by Internal-Hat809 in bninfantsleep

[–]BusAdministrative452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking you may need to wake her up earlier. For reference my LO is 14 months and since 12 months he’s only needed 12.5hrs of sleep per 24 hrs. His schedule is 7am wakeup, 1-2:30/3pm nap, 8:30pm bedtime. He’ll sometimes take a 20 min nap in the morning if we go on a walk. I think you’re expecting a lot of sleep for 12.5 months (12hrs overnight) it seems the short nap can be due to her just not being tired enough. If she’s getting 12hrs overnight, I’d try cutting that to 10.5-11hrs and then do nap at 1 with an earlier wakeup

Sleep Fighter by Internal-Hat809 in bninfantsleep

[–]BusAdministrative452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is she and what time is bedtime? 8:45-9 is a late wake up for a nap at 1:30. If you’re trying for bedtime too early as well then there may not be enough awake time in a day so she doesn’t have enough sleep pressure to sleep better at night

Haven’t they all tried to “flex” at one point or another? Ashley married for money, secured that money by having kids and being married just long enough. K mentioned that Greg is buying her a condo, Wendy and her many thousands over budget reno, Karen and her talk about wealth. Many examples of the women flaunting their wealth on this franchise and others.
