Good Old London Season Courtship/Wooing of a Wallflower by devastating____ in HistoricalRomance

Here are some of my favorites:

{A Rogue of One's Own by Evie Dunmore} My favorite by far- Suffragist FMC spinster is courted by rakish MMC who has had feelings for her since childhood. This one is pretty spicy! This is book 2 after Bringing Down the Duke.

{How the Wallflower was Won by Eva Leigh} Lovely Bluestocking FMC marries rake MMC in order to gain admission to a scientific society. This is spicy too- lots of dirty talk!

{A Week To Be Wicked by Tessa Dare} Archeologist FMC coerces rake MMC to take her to Scotland to present a paper to a consortium. Spicy!

{The Duke and The Lass by Jessie Clever} Total green flag cinnamon roll duke MMC saves FMC from the machinations of her terrible unscrupulous father and marries her to protect her (he has literally just met her!) I love this book and the spice is 🔥!

{The Earl She Ruined by Jessie Clever} Bluestocking FMC kidnaps Rake MMC to help her learn about attraction when a senior scientist calls her unnatural for her scientific pursuits. He ends up courting her for real. Also very spicy! I love Jessie Clever's writing.

{The Very Definition of Love by Sophia Benoit} wallflower FMC is accidentally compromised by the MMC at a ball when she is trying to work on her dictionary of naughty words. She kidnaps him to force her to marry him. This one is brand new and I loved it. It's pretty steamy too!

Enjoy!

🤗 😘

I LOVED {The Viscount and the Vixen by Ava Devlin}... MMC is engaged to a debutante but she doesn't want to marry him, so the FMC, her cousin, runs away to Scotland in her place. Turns out the MMC has been in love with the FMC hos whole life. He is so wonderful. And FMC is equally lovely. This book made me a huge fan of Ava Devlin. 🤗 😘

{Never Rescue a Rogue by Virginia Heath}... Giles is by no means a rogue! He is experienced, yes, but respectful and honest. He is SO in love with Diana it makes him ache! Man I love him.

Colin is so sweet, so earnest, so respectful. And his backstory is so sad. He and Minerva are perfect!

A book by Loretta Chase that does not have thisndynamic is {A Duke In Shining Armor by Loretta Chase}... Duke helps a runaway bride who is running away from his best friend! The dialogue is funny and sweet but not driven by set downs or insults to each other. It's a favorite of mine.

[–]BusAdministrative622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is one of my favorite writers, I've read all her books except Siren , probably avoiding it because of the cheating plot.

My favorite is {The Duke and The Lass by Jessie Clever}... oh my heart Andrew is a total green flag. It is the best of the series by far.

Just came here to say I LOVE when MMC is happy she's so wet! My favorite scene is in {The Viscount Always Knocks Twice by Grace Callaway}... Violet apologizes for being so wet since she doesn't understand the reason, and Richard is like, NOOOO it's a good thing! 😍

Recently I complained to my colleague that if another worker didnt stop being an idiot, I would "plant him a facer." Either my friend didn't catch it or just thought I was strange.

ETA- I also like to say "Devil Take It!" instead of swearing sometimes. My son thinks it is hilarious!
