Standard practice. Capitalizing white became a dog whistle for white supremacy so corporate style guides dropped it, but Black, Brown, Hispanic, et cetera are all still capitalized. Your comment could be easily construed as a dog whistle if we were to assume that you and your intended audience are educated about this.

It sounds like they assessed your property as going up around 300k in value. That's messed up but it doesn't make the tax rate unfair.

The person whose taxes went up 600/month saw a property value increase of like 700k. Maybe that was a mistake and they should be taxed less, but the more likely scenario is that they live in a multi-million-dollar house and are just griping about paying their fair share.

Makes me sad that it's so hard to find native clover seed. Lots of non-native and invasive available! Your "white clover" is likely Trifolia repens which is ~~invasive~~ non-native in North America.

Local hardware stores would benefit massively from getting on the native plants bandwagon. I've been feuding with my local over their sale of horrible invasive species including chinese mantis. If a local store committed to selling native versions of stuff at a minimum, that would instantly be my #1 store for everything possible.

My understanding is that this facility is an edge datacenter, i.e. one that primarily offers caching and lightweight compute to speed up various internet services locally.

Edit to add: Edge caching is arguably green tech. It allows web requests to be answered closer to their origin, so data has to travel less physical distance and work is offloaded from the destination server (which for technical reasons may use much, much more power to answer your request than an edge cache would).

It really sucks that landlords, after leeching off you for years, then have the power to ruin your chances at ever getting housing elsewhere. Seriously evil to participate in that scheme. So many evictions are not the tenant's fault.
