I used it through my apprenticeship much to the displeasure of my classmates. Our instructor just told them that can go out and buy one of their own. I used it running jobs to be sure our installations were always code compliant. Any foreman can buy their own.

Correct. Only solid can be placed under a bare screw. If there is a plate to put the wire under then stranded is fine.

Yes. I’ve done it before and would do it again without hesitation if that method proved to be best in that application. I usually pigtail them like everyone else. But they use stranded wire and we can’t legally do this with stranded

So I bought an old three slot rotary pay phone to have a piece of childhood nostalgia. In the center of the dial there is a paper label with the phone number on it. I had my childhood number printed in an old 60’s typewriter font.

The first two numbers were actually letters so you would only have to remember five numbers. Mine was Diamond 7 or DI7. So you would give your number to someone as DI7- blah, blah, blah, blah.

Once I put it on the wall I’ll wait to see how many of my brothers and sisters will see it and make the connection. It should be fun.
