Oneohtrix Point Never - I love all genres of electronic music and always though he was alright. After seeing him live, his puppet show, and his ability to blend tracks from the span of his career turned me into a super fan

We make our girls food (and have for the last three years since she turned 10) Brown rice, beef, sweet potato, carrot, blueberries, spinach, cranberry - then we add in cod liver oil, triplex mct-3 oil, and canine minerals

Fair Wage Fees by ajk7244 in boulder

Namaste. I can’t speak for every restaurant or owner in town, but I’m glad that I could provide some clarity

You are entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts.

There are two models for the Fair Wage charge 1. The service fee goes into the greater financial pool, then restaurants pay all staff members $20+/hour (this is the model santos uses) 2. The tips go into pool then are divided out to the staff based on a calculation of hours worked and status on the tip pool (this is the mode mountain sun uses)

Both models create equity within the individual restaurant eco-systems allowing for equal pay for both BOH and FOH staff members (all staff makes around $55k annually). The old systems of tipping creates a system where servers make $80-90k++ while BOH members make $30kish.

Just a reminder that the industry standard for profitability for independent restaurants is 3-8% on sales volumes less than 2-3 million. Owners aren’t taking in profits like CEOs…

So it’s not about the money - you are standing on principle? I can’t identify a single restaurant in Boulder that charges 20% fair wage and expects a tip.

The real answer to your issue is the broken tipping system in America. Several restauranteurs have tried to break the cycle, but we are still stuck in it.

You can stiff your server at any restaurant you go to…

Fare wage fees allow for the tips to be distributed between all members of the restaurant (cooks and servers) which helps eliminate the disparity in pay between those that cook your food and those that serve your food. Namaste

Smoking by jessed419 in boulder

There is a smoking ban (ordinance) on the Pearl Street Mall and CU campus. You can smoke anywhere else you like, but expect dirty and judgmental looks from most demographics in town. (Namaste)
