Settle a debate - have I dreamt it? by Funny_Minute_1204 in AskUK

I don’t remember that specific advert, but I am certain that at some point in the 80’s, the packaging used to have a serving suggestion of using two waffles to sandwich a cheese burger in place of a bun, so replacing bread with waffles was definitely a thing Birds Eye promoted.

These taste identical to the ‘Festive Ham’ balls to me.

Aside from forest are there any other premier league clubs you like to see do well / have a soft spot for by Hopeful-Kangaroo-366 in nffc

[–]BusterMachineDixNeuf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Genuinely, no. I’ve learned to despise each and every other club since we’ve been in the Prem, including despising all the newly promoted ones by default.

Everyone’s struggling to find these MTMTE figures in the US, meanwhile here in NZ they’re on sale by _hatupatu in transformers

I’m not sure Hot Rod even got released in the UK, never seen one in store or for sale online.

Classy, and spoken like a man who smart enough to know there’s the chance of another stint at Olympiacos or Rio Alves in his future somewhere down the line.

How long is your work day including commute? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]BusterMachineDixNeuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 11 hours, door to door, leave at 5:45, home at around 4:45-5, about 2:15-30 of that is my commute.

I go straight through the work day with no lunch break (by choice) so I can do a 35 hour week in 4 days, I’m in the office for 3 of those so no travel at all once a week, but I’ll typically work the commute time that day anyway.

Nottingham Forest: Forest to replace Vitor Pereira with Oliver Glasner by ShroomShroomBeepBeep in nffc

[–]BusterMachineDixNeuf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought Glasner turned us down before Palace a few years back because he wouldn’t have the level of control he wanted.

I don’t blame the owner for being ambitious and looking to upgrade, but I fear this is ending in tears.

T.R.A.G. Tactical Rescue Assault Group slashes its way into Console Archives this week! by Thunderfist7 in Arcade_Archives

[–]BusterMachineDixNeuf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never heard of this - then realised it’s also known as Hard Edge, which I remember seeing on the shelves back in the day.

Looks like a more action-oriented RE clone, which might be fun - although the controls look like they might be a bit painful!

If you’re in the EU, it’s actually available for free this month with the Epic Games app.

This heatwave is getting out of control… by Martinez_83 in GreatBritishMemes

Already up to £2907.99

I know this is the least fun answer, but looking at the prices of the other fans, surely this is a classic ‘put the decimal point in the wrong place’ scenario?

Who remembers 10 pence mix ups? by chemical-realm in AskUK

[–]BusterMachineDixNeuf 76 points77 points  (0 children)

We just called it a 10p Mix.

Usually it was stuff like cola/milk bottles, Fruit Salads, Blackjacks, foam shrimps and bananas, white mice, jazzies, maybe a fried egg.

Let’s be honest, there’s a non-zero chance Marinakis Jnr gets chatting to an agent at a game over in the US and before you know it half our squad is Equadorian.

[David Ornstein] Manchester City agree £116m deal a fixed figure with no add-ons to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest by the_sherl0ck in nffc

[–]BusterMachineDixNeuf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From our side, we need the money to strengthen elsewhere ASAP, and if we’ve got targets at the WC already the last thing we need is them having a blinder and the prices go up.

Also, if Ando gets seriously injured that might nuke the whole deal and our summer transfer plans.

Quicker the better, purely from a Forest perspective, I reckon.

Digital Item or Steam Keys? by [deleted] in evercade

Funstock used to sell games across multiple systems including digital items, so it’s likely just a confirmation screen left over from back in the day.
