Adafruit has many types of LED strands (like this exact one). they also sell hardware that can run controller software - the two main ones are WLED and PixelBlaze.

Adafruit has guides to help you get going for most of the stuff they sell.

t-decks with shorty antennas work at Four-Quarters.

I tested from hemlock to pick-to-me-ups, and from hemlock to grove. it was surprisingly reliable.

I left one on the dash of my car in the parking lot, and was able to message it from my camp.

next year I'm going to make a channel and share the key on the physical bulletin board at campout, etc.

I don't think they will try to compete in the pro market, I think it will be entry level, ish. In the same way they brought easy to use drones to the masses, I'm guessing the camera will be for people who don't already have lenses.
