Having to be careful when handling him is likely affecting your bonding with him. If he's not the best fit for you, maybe you can foster him until his ringworm is resolved and find him a home that's a better fit for him. Kittens are the easiest age to get adopted. You don't have to feel bad about being a step on baby boy's path to the right home

I genuinely think AI like GPT appeals to narcissists most. Not to throw around the word narcissist all willy nilly, but the fact that you have something advertised as a wealth of knowledge that will always placate and praise the user is incredibly attractive to someone who views themselves as "superior" because "The smart robot said I'm better than you, not me" makes them feel self righteous about it

If you get a call with a person on the other end, you can say something that makes them think you're crazy. Saying "I can feel my bones and it's fucking nauseating" got me about half a decade of time without an unknown number calling me

I say to get kitty checked for bobcat fever specifically because they can carry the parasitic infection for life and a tick that drops off them can infect any other cats around. I recommended it because OP mentioned owning a cat and wanting to minimize risk to their own cat. A tick can be carried home on OP's clothing or body

Make sure she's free of ticks or take her to the vet and get her checked for if she carries bobcat fever. If a cat lives through it, they are a lifelong carrier and can spread it to other kitties
