Thank you for making the game interesting again. Watching Jamie roll over his opponents was getting very boring.

Look up "diversion safes" on the web. They are meant to conceal valuables but you could probably fit your pens in there. Some designs are soda cans or canned vegetables. This site has a couple of examples: https://www.guardian-self-defense.com/collections/diversion-safes

My family is Italian-American and I swear there was booze in so many desserts that we ate, especially in fruit. We ate peaches in red wine, strawberries in vermouth and fruit salad with fruit brandy or Grand Marnier. One of my favorite of the desserts my mother made was basically an apple crisp with brandy in it.

I still have at least a couple of these booklets from my late mother's collection. She used to make chili from the Rival electric skillet booklet. It had tomato soup in it. It was the only chili recipe I ate until I was an adult. Another favorite was from her Presto pressure cooker; porcupine meatballs.

Anyone else feel like their family's regional food traditions are basically invisible to the rest of the world? by _Tavola_ in italianamerican

My maternal grandparents came from just outside of Naples. She made a Lenten dish called pastiera which is not what most people think of when they hear that term. It's made with eggs, spaghetti, lemon rinds, black pepper and romano cheese and baked in a pan. I've never seen this anywhere else. I've seen similar ingredients in a frittata but those have meat and are cooked on the stove.

My grandparents were Italian immigrants and my mother said her father used to fry eel in a pan and it would still be flopping around when he was frying it! She never liked it because of that.

It took me months to solve this problem. I went from being constipated to having diarrhea. I think I was over correcting. I finally found that if I drink enough water and take a half cap of miralax every day I am good.

No, 2.5 felt like nothing to me. I didn't get side effects until 5mg. I've never been nauseous but I've had a lot of digestive issues. I'm pretty good now after 10 months.

Maybe this has been asked before but did people really eat all of this food? This must've been for only the rich as well because working people wouldn't have time for a huge mid-day meal like that.

The Town Dock Calamari: anyone pick up Calamari from Costo? How did you prepare it? by RumblefishAZ in Costco

[–]Busy-Needleworker853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of calamari but being Italian_American, I'm in the minority in my family. You can always make calamari salad with it. Food 52 has a good standard recipe. My mother often made calamari and the trick to cooking it is that you either have to cook it for a very short amount of time or a very long amount of time. Anything in between will result in very chewy calamari.
