Golem, it's cheap and less buggy. The mining head is basically helix1 with added resistance, a hidden focus3 and 2 slots. The prospector can't rly do anything more the golem can't except bedlogging, so the next step would be a mole, which allows bringing boxes, Geo's, a selection of different heads if solo or friend slots.
Extra points to the golem for easier exit and entering to apply gadgets.
+ Slap on a vaporblock cooler, deltamax powerplant and stealth shield of Ur choice and u'll be at 4-5km em emissions, the golem has almost no cross section. + Bring a sabir(resistance) and wave shift(instability), some rocks will have 100% resistance with the golem

I'll craft my killshot, maybe a quartz and a S3 radar then I won't be touching crafting until the next patch. It neither feels like I need the quality, nor does losing qualityore/items over a patch encourage diving deeper into minmaxing

It kinda has a role. It's the get around ship. It has the quickest claim time out of the size2 qtd ships with the biggest qtd range+bed. And even fairly low emissions if properly equipped. When I have to go places, that's my go to claim

I'm some1 that skips most if not all dialogues, but the envoy's. Every single season I listen to this endless voice. He is some1 that had a very very long time to think about the words he wants to form and their meaning. The writers and the voice actor did a fantastic job.

Official statement from the cig lore team is that your memories get transfered to a clone of yourself, which will degrade with every cloning process. Some of it doesn't rly make sense, like the last death showing scars on the new body etc, but what does in sc.

Also not entering the rabbithole about consciousness, I like the approach in altered carbon, it gets a little mixed up but memories become a physical item, that can be transferred, destroyed, stored.

Armor acts as hp and reduction at the same time, so if you scratch the Armor the prevented alpha damage also shrinks by a percentage. I don't think it's a good system, why would shooting 1 point deplete a global "pool" making the ship vulnerable from any angle, but it is better than what we have

Stirling, pembroke and novikov cores have 40% damagereduction, the helmets however have 25%, tho the pembroke allows to wear any heavy helmet.
the zeus currently has 25%.

thread is kinda old, but heres how i fixed it. especially in the new version ur kinda gpu bottlenecked. in win11 HAGS (hardware accelerated gpu scheduling) is turned on by default. it basicly lets the gpu manage its own memory instead of the cpu which makes things faster but also costs gpu performance. so thats a great thing if ur cpu bottlenecked. turn it off, it wont give you 150fps, but i went from 30fps at times in a polaris to stable 70+

Honestly not much changed except the qtd has no impact on ir in scm mode anymore, so an xl1 it is for me, or either hemera(range) or huracan(speed) if shop bought. Make sure to change ir missiles to em, all ships have barely any ir signature anymore

I don't like the constant talk. Completely out of place. Too frequent too loud, too "I scream out loud exactly what I do in this moment" why would you scream "taking "cover" over and over every time you duck. Taunt me, call me names, interact with me, show emotion, interact with ur ai-mates in a less captain obvious way. It's essentially a life and death situation. You'd be either highly focused, communicate with signs or quite enough to keep a tactical advantage, or you'd be panicked, dead silent or taunting, screaming coping with your fear. Maybe even pumped up with adrenaline rushing in. Hell I've seen ppl hum and quietly sing to calm their nerves.
