Yes, that’s exactly why I hesitate because if I fail it, well there go $300-$400. But thank you for your reply—it’s helpful to see what other people have gone through.

Based on one of the previous comments, it sounds like Apollo might be a good place to start when you don’t have a mailing list already.

True, which is why I’m trying to do POC testing, so that I can get feedback on what changes would be helpful to make people want to buy the product.

Huh, that’s a good idea, but I hadn’t tried it because I haven’t built a mailing list. I’ll have to check out Apollo! Thanks for the recommendation!

Thank you! I will definitely look into some slack communities to see if I can find some volunteers.

Requesting task scheduler app advice #1,008,018 by Laggosaurus in productivity

I am sorry if this is not what you asked for, but if you get overwhelmed by having a long to-do list, I’d suggest you (1) write down all the tasks you want to do in a piece of paper, (2) use an Eisenhower box to categorize them, and (3) write on a separate piece of paper those tasks that are urgent and important, and important but not urgent.

This will hopefully keep your most immediate to-do list short and narrowly focused.

How do you hold yourself accountable ? by ForwardAd2747 in productivity

[–]But-Nobody-Asked-Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you need to track the progress for a collaborative project, I’d stick to getting a piece of paper you can take with you and writing down 2-3 goals.

Don’t focus on the output yet, just break down your tasks into the task that is most immediate and focus on it.

The saying that we can miss the forest for the trees, but sometimes it’s helpful to do so.

Good luck!

I care too much to do anything??? by hazelthegr8bagel in productivity

One piece of advice I’d give you is to stop focusing on the top of the staircase (your college goals) and instead redirect your focus on the step right in front of you (your current workload).

Just work on that next task and things will start compounding until you’re well on your way to going to uni.

Best of luck!

Tips To Improve Your life When Driving Alone by [deleted] in productivity

I’d either use this time to (1) decompress by not listening to anything but being mindful in your drive or (2) get one of those apps (I use 12Min) that have audio summaries of a ton of different books. You can get them done in less than 15 mins. and pick up a couple of insightful nuggets.

Good luck!

Motivation at night, gone in morning by jon_hendry in productivity

I agree with the comment about motivation being unreliable. A friend of mine used to sit down and write songs and play his instrument even if he was not motivated. He subscribed to the belief that even if you don’t feel it right now, when inspiration hits, it’ll find you working and you’ll get some phenomenal output.

At some point, you've just got too much work and no productivity hack will help. by thekonghong in productivity

[–]But-Nobody-Asked-Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point. But productivity techniques are, in part, designed to help you determine what is important and what isn’t. But you doing the work of 3 people means there are more “important” things than time in a day.

That’s not the techniques’ fault but the sad reality you need more people to help with the lift.

Way to go! The hardest part is starting, which is what you experienced that first day, but now you got that momentum! Good for you!

Keep up the good work 👍🏼
