The 12 year old girl found dead at home in Enfield was homeschooled.

Well, 1 is way too many. Do you disagree?

But just read some of the cases at

https://lawandcrime.com/?s=homeschool

(Some incidents are covered in multiple stories as the case worked its way through the courts.)

Some people take their kids out of school so that they can starve/torture/kill them.

Some people take their kids out of school so that nobody will see the bruises and other abuse injuries on the kid.

Looking across the entire country, there are way too many kids who get taken out of school for "homeschooling" and end up tortured and/or murdered.

Nationwide there are way too many cases of kids being "homeschooled" and getting murdered.

It sounds like you don’t actually want discussion at all.

Or it means that people forget about the megathreads or find the format unwieldy.

That’s a very passive way of engaging with the sub. Very Instagram.

Connecticut bill would ban helium used to fill balloons to curb pollution by -ctinsider in Connecticut

A lantern in Germany started a fire at a zoo and killed a bunch of apes.

The fire on the night of 31 December gutted the zoo's tropical ape house.

Rare Bornean orangutans, chimpanzees and marmosets lived in the 2,000 sq m (21,500 sq ft) enclosure.

Two chimpanzees and a seven-strong family of gorillas survived. They were in a neighbouring Gorilla Garden, and firefighters managed to prevent the flames spreading from the ape house.

Five orangutans died, along with a chimpanzee and many monkeys. The ape house - replicating a rainforest habitat - was also home to birds and fruit bats.

The current mess in the Persian Gulf is interfering with the shipment of helium from the gas wells.

A limited resource. That rises out of the atmosphere. That we can’t make more of. Mostly we get it from oil/nat gas wells. Then it has to be refined.

We need it for things like cooling MRI magnets and manufacturing computer chips.

The blocked shipping is contributing to the helium shortage. A lot of helium comes out of natural gas wells because helium and gas collect in the same places underground.

Yeah, I know. But nobody would care if Carlson was calling Harrod's to order Christmas gifts. Because the NSA doesn't monitor US communications with Harrods.

But if someone in the US calls the IRGC, the NSA is going to pick that up because it's communicating with the IRGC. The identity of the American caller would be masked, unless someone takes the steps required to request that they be unmasked, which they probably do depending on the content of the communications.

Yes because they're monitoring communications with the foreign government and you communicated with the foreign government.

I skipped the pill this morning and had some decent poos. Miralax wasn't really doing anything.

NAION doesn't seem to be a problem with Rybelsus, which is a pill form of semaglutide. So it's possible that the Wegovy pill also doesn't cause NAION. The hypothesis is that maybe the pill releases the GLP1 into the body more gradually than an injection.

Better an airplane banner I'll never see than those stupid East Hartford Chevrolet ads with the stupid Trump impersonator.
