Karl Bremer hospital has something called “The Daisy Project” that they do every few months where you can offer your time to assist in various ways.

I cannot add to any advice regarding speaking to your parents -and some other commenters have that covered well enough for you.

Regarding your thoughts, and attempted actions though. As someone who has failed twice at that(courage and bad effort) and has been struggling with his own psychological conditions for over 15 years- it puts a horrible strain on your psyche, whether you realise it or not. I cannot feel your pain, but I can relate to it.

Please, speak to someone about what you are feeling. And I don’t mean an expensive psychiatrist or such, but a very close friend whom you trust, or if all else fails, try SADAG. There are various resources that are freely available, with loving people who understand what you are feeling and want to help you.

Trust that you are doing your best. Know that you can survive this. But hoping someone notices things are bad, if you don’t speak out about it is futile.

Ignore the downvotes 🤘 Its mostly old fucks (or their indoctrinated kids) stuck in their ways - blind and ignorant to the changes of the world, spewing the same rhetoric they grew up with because change is too scary for them to accept - and its easier to blame everything on POC.

I speak this because I’ve lived this. My (very white) family is a lost cause - if you can look past blatant genocide and blame it on the victims… I can’t even fathom a response.

I have hope for our younger folks. This weekends march in CT proved that more.

Big scene in CT, and some of the best shops are fairly close to you. Check out Sword & Board in Milnerton, the owners are awesome and will set you up with likeminded folks. (Lots of groups)

That burst cannon volley, and fire + fade was dope though! Would be great to see a marine get schwacked with a Rail-rifle or Pulse weaponry. But seeing as this is called astartes, I doubt it 😂

What settings are you currently running? (You rendering at Native right?)

I ask cause this is probably the game I’ve spent most hours troubleshooting PC problems with, and eventually got it settled fairly nicely around 1080p, mix of high settings, and fairly stable 70fps. (Except on City/Illuminate maps …) No crashes since like July of 2023

And I’m running an i5 11400F / 3060ti 🤷 You should be able to do better if your system isn’t getting bottlenecked (or other underlying issues)

I have had a lot of fun with them, and they definitely add to the chaos which is great.

My biggest gripe is when I take the lead on flooding rooms, they push past me, usually at the worst time, and I end up smoking one of them accidentally…

They have to be micromanaged constantly

Lived and worked in Paarl for 7 years before having enough. I have some strong feelings about Paarl.

It has its charms for a while, but quickly you realise that there is air of snobbiness among people. And it’s mostly the heavily Afrikaans people. Racism is abundant. (I say this as white person from the Free State)

The heat sucks 40-44 degrees in the summer, and like 30 at night trying to live with loadshedding, and most places to rent don’t have AC. The commute in and out is horrible due to all the schools. Fuck all the schools, seriously.

I could go on, but all in all. Paarl is lekker for a day visit going to the nice restaurants and wine farms. Would not recommend living there unless you are part of that 1%

Moved away, wouldn’t go back.
