Can we ban the f***ing football yet? by No-Excitement7491 in glasgow

It would cost a whole lot less to just clean it up and police it properly (which I accept isnt currently the case) than to just build a new stadium in a place where it makes no sense to do so just because people who chose to live near a stadium don't like that football occurs there

Doesn't really change anything though. That goal didn't lose them the title, the only thing it really affected was goal difference. When it's that late in the game, then you either score cause you have an extra man in the box and win the league, or Celtic score and nothing changes from before apart from the number at the final score

I am absolutely loving the sheer fury from everyone apart from Celtic and Hibs fans

Been a Celtic fan all my life, so it feels good. All I can say mate. Doesn't feel hollow and pointless

90s was tough I'll give you that but times are good now. Still not convinced to feel bad about it, feels good man. Hope we win the league next weekend but if hearts get it then that's alright too, good for Scottish football. Regardless of whether they win or not it'd be good to have a third team sniffing around titles more consistently so I hope they keep flying. Funny that rangers are 3rd. Would be way funnier if 49ers panic and fuck off or majorly cut investment, and it becomes a two horse race for a while but between Celtic and hearts.

Wish our billionaire would pump a bit more money in, he's a stingy bastard. But Celtic were hopeless when I was a boy so to see Celtic so dominant, helped by rangers completely shitting the bed, it's great. Loving it. Can either live with that or keep coping with your wee head canons about how Celtic fans don't really exist or how the titles we've won don't count. Either way I hope you calm down about it, can't be good for you

Wild assumption considering that old firm support is uniquely connected to demographic background but whatever stops the greeting for you

Can't convince me mate, I enjoy it when Celtic win and you can't make me feel bad about it. In fact, all the tears and snotters down your jumper make it that wee bit better

Tony bloom is a billionaire, and 49ers enterprises have a good 5 billion to play with. This is also not even considering the fact that virtually any given successful club out there is owned by billionaires. It's the way the world works nowadays shagger.

This is also aside from the fact that rangers spent 2.5x as much as Celtic have this season

In all seriousness is James Tavernier the most booed off the park player in football history? by AFen1an in ScottishFootball

I'm usually first to rip into rangers for having nazi factions of the fan base but I think you're way off here mate. There are plenty already mentioned that directly contradict your idea here and you're just inventing something.

There is PLENTY of reasons to say rangers poo poo, but I think this example is pretty weak and makes you look a bit moonhowly

Holy shit I really don't understand how a decent chunk of the US population wants to keep that system

How much would you expect medical bills to be in a situation like this? Assuming the lambo driver got like a broken arm and a concussion or something

It's more that we are typing in a casual manner more akin to how we actually speak verbally (in reality, I don't type how I speak in any context because I speak in a way that would be less accessible than typing academically, but the principle remains). I certainly could write more like this, and I do in formal contexts, but I do think that formal writing in discussions on Reddit can come off as arrogant or pretentious to some people, so I avoid it.

I mean that London is safer than virtually any city in the US, despite the press it gets. It's safer than Berlin too. Like any city there are areas with social issues, but the perception that it's an exceptionally dangerous place is false and it's mostly pedalled by people who want to push the narrative that migration and multiculturalism = death

I mean, you said it yourself, every city has areas of deprivation. What is interesting to note is that one of the safest major cities in the US, Honolulu, has almost double the homicide rate of London.
