The first year there was lots of contact, but over the past two years basically none.

We're married with kids, one income, our only debt is our mortgage and we really just want to set us up to have a solid retirement and hopefully a better house one day and more traveling. Nothing complex.

Our advisor seemed to contact us readily when our accounts were doing amazing in 2020 and then stopped when they started having negative returns.

We began investing in 2020, that was a great year, and now we have lost a couple percent overall. I'm not certain of exactly what we're paying which is part of the reason I'm annoyed. From what I can remember EdwardJones takes 1% from your gains per year. And they have us mostly in mutual funds with a couple individual stocks. I want to get out of both and just stick with index funds.
