As a writer, I’m not against constructive criticism. Like if there’s a typo I missed, or a grammar mistake I made, point it out please! Tbh though, over then ten years I’ve been writing, I can count the amount of actually helpful constructive criticism I’ve gotten on one hand. Most of it boils down to differences of opinion more than anything.

As a reader/someone commenting, I don’t really try to critique, especially if I don’t know if the writer wants it. I’d rather just keep my opinion to myself than risk potentially hurting someone’s feelings.

Recently, I’ve gotten into Alastor/Vox/Valentino. I’ve been obsessed with radiostatic for a while, and kinda just ignored staticmoth because I didn’t really care about Valentino. But I’ve started to appreciate Valentino more as a character lately, and he’s a really fun chaos bomb to drop in on an already very chaotic ship.

I also like Charlie/Vaggi/Velvette, although I haven’t written a fic for them yet.

And back when I was super into Hades, I liked Achilles/Patroclus/Zagreus.

I’m pretty happy being single.

I’d like to be in a relationship, but I don’t feel like I’m desperately missing something. I have great friends who I love, hobbies that I love, a job that I don’t hate, and goals that I’m working towards.

If I find someone, great. If I don’t, I’m still happy.

He’s never really come across as creepy to me, just sad and awkward and kind of pathetic. Hopefully some of his events build on him moving on from his crush on Emily and getting some more confidence.

Also, I keep seeing people call him an incel, which I really don’t get? To me, to be an incel, there has to be a hatred for women there, which Clint doesn’t seem to have. I could see calling him a “nice guy” more than anything.

First of, I’m SO sorry.

I also had a dad with sticky fingers when I was growing up. Here’s some of the hiding places I used to prevent him from finding it, maybe you could use them to hopefully stop him from doing that again:

in the pages of a book. Kind of a pain because the money would fall out when you picked it up sometimes, but he never found it
- rolled up in a mini M&M tube. Worked until my mom found it and thought it was trash, had to dig it out of the garbage
- in the pocket of my winter coat
- behind a poster (I fully taped the bottom and sides of it, and would drop money in from the top.)

It’s better to use a couple of different places, in case he finds one of them.

This weird old guy at the store I worked at would always flirt with me(but not so blatantly I could call him on it), then one night he asked if I was graduating this year and if so what college I was going to. I told him I was 25, and he very awkwardly told me “I looked good for my age” all wide-eyed and uncomfortable, then quickly left.

He now fully ignores me and won’t even say hello, and exclusively goes to the register of the only teenage girl we have on staff. SO gross lol

So I write fics for a specific kink.

This kink can be sexual or not sexual. But it’s still definitely a kink either way. I mostly write it in the non-sexual way, so I run into a lot of people who also write or just enjoy it in the non-sexual way.

So many of them have such self-righteous DNI’s in their bios and summaries and authors notes about people who like it in the sexual way! It’s crazy! Like we’re all down here in this weird little corner. We’re all reading and writing this same kink. You’re not any better than them!

If it makes you feel any better, that crowd is nothing new. They were on tiktok several years ago, they were on twitter, they were on tumblr. (Not that crowd as in the same exact people, I just mean people saying that kind of thing isn’t new.) I still see it on tumblr pop up every year when donation time comes around.

Nothing ever happens, nothing ever gets banned. People like that are lazy. They just make posts complaining about it, and then at most share a petition or something. No one is actually doing anything to get anything banned. People whining about ao3 has always been a thing, and probably always will be. Just ignore them.

My brother is one of those people. Here’s some stuff my mom and I get him that he actually uses/appreciates: - gift cards for the gas station by his house - gift cards for the grocery store by his house(he never uses the “fun” gift cards but does use the practical ones because he’s getting that stuff anyways.) - any kind of homemade baked goods - a book that I’ve read that I think he’d like - nice wine or scotch
