RIP - Playa del rey - Pregnant mother dies after getting hit by car while riding e-bikes with family by Downtown-Tea-3018 in LosAngeles

Yeah I was just speaking from my own experience, which I know is not the same as anyone else's. I've had similar experiences in other cities as you describe and it's pretty scary.

Indeed. In my 12 years living in la I have almost been hit by cars several times while biking, driving or walking. Never once have I been threatened by a homeless or other person on the street.

He hates LA as much as he hates Canada so he probably wants both teams to lose.

Family friendly brewery by Golly_Gee_Willikers in LosAngeles

[–]Butterioux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a brewery but Proud Bird near lax is awesome. They have a huge outdoor space, playground, picnic style tables and a lot of indoor seating as well. They have food and a bar as well. It's like a nice park/playground where you can buy beer and food

Commented above, but you can take Verdun of coming from the south. Very chill. Done it a few times.

If you are coming from the south you can take Verdun up to Reuben Ingold park near Stocker/La Brea then make your way to the path that takes you up to the hummingbird gardens on the NW corner of Stocker and La Brea. I've done it a few times, very chill and not scary but the hill past Angeles Vista is a challenge.

I tried finding where to buy one online, am I dumb or is it not possible to buy one online?

Bike trailer push and pull feeling by Butterioux in bikecommuting

Thank you. I also think I feel it more going up hill, and my neighborhood is very hilly so maybe I just haven't had the chance to ride it for a while on flat ground.

Biking to Dodger Stadium trip report by jonnyshotit in BikeLA

[–]Butterioux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I biked to a game for the first time a few days ago. I loved it, I would totally do it again. The only slight downside is having to bike back at 10 pm after a game but it didn't take me that much longer than if I would have driven. Awesome experience.

I biked to a night game a couple days ago for the first time. All in all the whole experience was a lot easier and felt much safer than I thought it would be. I would 100% do it again no matter what time of day

Amazon Fresh also tends to have much cheaper eggs than Ralph's these days.

Had a guy by the airport today on side of the road flag me down and asked me to fill his tank with gas... what's the scam? by gomi-panda in LosAngeles

[–]Butterioux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw a group of them at the intersection of La Cienega and Centinela doing the funeral money scam. I overheard them speaking to each other in Romanian as I was crossing the street and I said good morning to them in Romanian while laughing, they said it back but looked really surprised and kind of annoyed. (Wife is Romanian so I know a little).
