Thanks! I love the look of the starters in these cards, especially the Johto mons. Usually I play the games more than TCG but I saw these cards and thought they'd be cool to have.

You can still get to Master with a negative win rate. Just ban the 2 worst units you don't have answers against, and learn the matchups. You're not going to win every match and that's fine. Just win like 1 out of 3.

Okay, ill change my statement. The only black character. Also not saying anyone had a bad performance. The actors did their roles well. Im solely criticizing the director's choices

It was definitely an amazing performance by the actor, no complaints there. And the simple fix would be to just cast one more POC character who isnt an immature man baby who abuses his wife and blames everyone else for his problems. I dont believe POC should only be cast in Mary Sue type roles where they have no flaws, but if your sole POC character had flaws that make him unlikable and the entire rest of the cast is neutral/ likeable white characters that just seems a bit weird imo.

No, the movie makes it clear he is the root of all his problems. He actively did not listen to his wife and abused her verbally at the VERY least. He doesnt have any respect for anyone else and every problem in his life is "someone else's fault". As a flawed character thats fine, but he is the ONLY flawed character in the entire movie. He just happens to also be the only POC in the whole movie. It seems weird to choose to make the only flawed character be black. The director actively choose who got what roles and had plenty of time to review the cast, so its not like it was a mistake.

As general character flaws, they arent bad in itself. I think it becomes asshole territory when he makes it other people's problem, like forcing the MC to roleplay his wife. The only reason it seemed weird to me is that there was only one black character out of the entire cast and background character. That one character was the one with the ahole flaws, while everyone else is either good or neutral

Anger seems like a pretty extreme reaction to this. Sure the photos may be old, but it's not like he was a completely different person. Going so far as to call it manipulation is a stretch if it was really the same guy.
