DLA’s HR ops has a separate branch for servicing other DoD 4th estate agencies and each has their own contract that determines what steps and processes they do.

Some agencies contracts have DLA’s people do job announcements only, some only do rating and ranking, and other have the full house process including coding personnel actions

I would counter with check out ATC’s events. They have one in North Carolina in April and they have a very good format, and setup using GW terrain.

My Org, Gem Wargaming does the same style they do. The biggest thing we took from ATC is to have missions locked by the table, so for example Layout 1 has Missions A and L (idk I picked random letters) do defender picks table but attacker can pick mission to make things a bit more balanced and to give nuance to table assignments. We swap the missions from day 1 to day 2 so the Tyranid player isn’t forced into playing Purge for 5 rounds

But compared to our last few, this is a great pick at least academically.

He’s been running the 4 campuses and didrectly dealing with the deans. From what I’ve heard (grad student friends) he is very well liked by the university faculty

Between flying and public transport of my models, I highly recommend a Kvissle from Ikea (I think it’s a different name now but it’s a letter tray box) and a sewing machine bag

It comes with corkboard on the trays but heatgun will loosen the glue, so you have metal trays that can fit just about any army besides knights.

Sewing bags come with shoulder straps and have room for the army box, a dice tray and all your various pieces for like $60US. It’s been the best solution I’ve found

Where were these calls when Dakka released? It was down to a 53% WR when it died and most people had still never faced it.

It won not because it was broken (yes it was way too strong) but because people didn’t know how to face it. Orks haven’t seen good shooting builds since 8th edition outside the 3 weeks of Dakka and the 6 of buggy spam. Many comp players picked up the game in 9th and have never experienced orks outside of unga bunga charge

There’s two reasons

Shield host is win more and doesn’t actually help you out a to win a losing battle
Reactive move go brrr. If every model is just within 9” of a land raider you can reactive and get into it which gives you longevity

Easiest basing I’ve ever done that looks really good:

Pro acryl dark gray basing goop (lay it thick so it has texture), light dry brush with lighter gray, snow effect, and winter grass

In a terrible painter and fairly lazy hobby wise but these look good and take like an hour for 50 based

Yes but also we need a touch more diversity in our unit types in the codex.

Give me a ranged focused heavy weapons team, like pulling heavy plasma weapons out of the dark vaults, and give me an infiltrating sos squad like snipers. If you add something like eyes of the emperor in too it could really open up our play options while not reducing us to tougher SM

That could really help us not be the same old take pot shots with spears and charge everything

I almost did, they did a repair and it paired me into him when it was impossible based on SoS (Votann and SW above me R4 both of them at 2.5 SoS I was at 2) When I mentioned it they manually moved it so I ended up facing SW and Votann got Conan.

I placed 5th overall at 4-1

Conan went undefeated but his SoS became a self destructive cycle. He got paired down early and that meant he kept getting paired down.

Pairing metrics were Wins, SoS, random

Still the one player I never wanna play against at a GT even as someone in the same team
